Dean supporters, question for you....
I like Clark and I'm voting for him. But I would have NO problem voting for Dean if he gets the nom.
Will you vote for Clark if Dean doesn't win the nom?...
I just see a lot of Clark attacks around here and I'm wondering if people would be able to get over it.

1. From what I learned
the past few days is that this question has gone around quite a bit...

I have come to the conclusion that I'm not going to say who I will vote for...I will say that I will vote for Anyone But Bush...

2. funny, I see alot of Dean attacks...
...and I wonder if the Dean haters will be able to get over it. You do realize this question is asked a couple times a day, right? Yes, I'll vote for Ham&Cheese/Rye ticket in 2004 over Bush. I'd vote for the WellDressedDog/TalkingFish Democratic ticket in 2004. I'd even vote for Jeffords/Chafee ticket over Bush/Cheney. But I prefer Dean, and that's why I'm supporting him for the nomination.

enuff of these stupid questions. This is an mirror image of a question about Dean. Its idiotic tits-for-tats that fuel this animosity between Dean and Clark supporters. :eyes:

6. I'm not yet a Dean supporter , I'm torn between
Dean and Kerry. In Nov 04, I would happily pull the lever for most of the candidates . Clark is another story all together. I don't know if I could vote for him in the general election. The more I hear him speak , the less I like him. It has nothing to do with 'getting over it'. It has to do with his attitude and his history (or lack there of). I just don't trust him. That being said, if he does become president, I'll give him the benifit of the doubt until he gives me a reason to do otherwise and if he proves to be the liberal he claims to be, I'll be the first to admit that I'm wrong.

10. Do you prefer Bush?
Because that's what it really comes down to, if Clark gets the nomination. You can have him or Bush. Which do you prefer?

14. ABB, baby!
Anybody But Bush.

If the Democrats decided none of the nine candidates shouldhave the nomination and instead, nominated a ham sandwich, I'd go for the ham sandwich.

16. Yes.
Interestingly, I've felt like writing exactly what you wrote, only to Clark supporters as a Dean supporter. The attacks against Dean have been so repetitive and mean spirited, with some posters actually saying they "would sit this one out" if Dean got the nomination, that I began to wonder just how many of us really are ABB, at the end of the day.

I am a Dean supporter. However, I respect Clark very much and would gladly have him as the Dem nominee. I believe that we have a very strong field of contenders this year, and I have committed to donate money and time to the campaign of the Dem nominee for President, period.

Still, I do worry about losing some of the Dems we need due to the nasty tone of the debate around here and elsewhere.

Cheers!

19. Absolutely
Clark is my second choice anyway, so I would have no problems with voting for him. I genuinely like the guy.

I think you don't need to worry that we Deanies will simply pack up and go home if he doesn't win the nomination. The man himself said that if he doesn't get it he will do everything he can for the nominee, and he urged all of his supporters to do the same.

21. Since I believe that Dean will be the Democratic nominee...
My "yes" is kind of meaningless.

Desperate attacks on the frontrunner is to be expected.

A better question is when do the attacks end? The candidate that has a lead of at least 1% above the MoE in the mid-January national polls will be the candidate that will be facing Bush. The media will continue to try to cover it like a horserace but history would suggest otherwise. 9 of the past 10 elections confirm that the candidate with the national lead in mid-January will win the nomination, with Gary Hart being the exception. Continue to support and vote for your candidate of choice but for those new to the primary process, be aware of who is most likely to be going against Bush because you'll also find that in mid-January the Rovian attacks begin.

24. I honestly don't get this
Maybe because I'm a Dean supporter but to me it seems very heavily tilted in the anti-Dean direction. I have a great deal of respect for Gen. Clark. He's my number 2 (with Kerry close). And if he gets the nomination (I'd like for Howard to be the veep) I will send money, volunteer time and, of course, vote for him. More, since I consider him anti-war, I would do so even if a IWR backer was given the veep slot. I see a lot of Dean/Clark and Clark/Dean support on this board and I don't know where questions like this come from. My only frustration here isn't with Clark but with Clark supporters (and others) that insist on saying that Dean can't win. One other thing, Dean would happily and proudly accept the veep slot if it were offered to him. Now can we get back to beating Bush?

25. To reiterate...
I can't speak for any other Deanies, but I'll put it this way: I hate George W. Bush more than I like Dean. To put it in mathematical terms:

Hatred of Bush > Liking Dean

My primary issue is getting Bush out of office --- I just happen to believe that Dean is the best guy for that job. If he doesn't get it, my hatred of Bush will still be pure, believe me, and I will work my fucking ass off for whoever the nominee is.
