Dennis Kucinich is praised on a blog for....
.taking on the ABC (unsavory fellow lacking in brains). This is a great commentary on the elitism of the media and how determined they are to pick the Demo candidate.

It's the top entry for Thursday, December 11th.

Full Disclosure -- the guy's a friend of mine. I see him a couple of times a year for lunch. He's basically apolitical. In his 50's and has never voted in the time I've known him.

1. a kick, since in my first thread on this topic,
I got locked for calling a spade a spade. :-) (Just kidding, Mod, I misunderstood the rule. I thought you couldn't use a bad word in the TITLE -- the part that shows up in the list -- I didn't understand it was the whole first post. Sorry about that.)

2. in case
you missed my post on your locked thread.

you mentioned campaigning for DK if he had a snowball's chance...

If you were out there campaigning for Kucinich, you would be helping to get that snowball a chance. Then you wouldn't have to look back, and say, gee, it would've been nice if Kucinich could've done better...

ps - how's the Metting Room Christianity from a better perspective thread coming? I haven't seen one since Friday; haven't checked in the past few hours.

3. Thanks for asking....
My back is out and I'm pretty sick right now with the flu. So, I'm not going to do another one until Friday night.

I live in Alabama. President Bush would win my state even if I won the lottery and used it all to pay people to promise to vote for DK. One thing the electoral college does is make a lot of local-level stuff meaningless. :-(

4. sorry
to hear your back is still out. And the flu. Hope you feel better sson.

ripple-effect? Even if Bush carries AL in a walk, talking up Kucinich can be helpful. The people you would be talking to probably have friends and relatives in other states whom they talk with. Your voice could help convince people you never even meet. I'm not saying be fanatical, but there's no point in giving up without an effort.

Personally, I'm not convinced any Dem can beat Diebold, ES&S, etc. but the battle has to be fought.

5. I agree...
computerized voting scares the HELL out of me. I KNOW the poll workers in my neighborhood. They think voting is almost a holy thing. They treat those ballots like something precious, something that, in many cases, their son/husband/father/brother DIED for. I trust them with my vote.

Some rich computer geek at Diebold? SCARY.
