4. The NH NEA just voted to endorse Dean a couple of nights ago
he accepted their endorsement at a ceremony in NH yesterday.

unlike Clark, Dean doesn't need to be endorsed multiple times by the same person/group.

23. I should have said
How many times are you going to post it?

Today was a formal endorsement ceremony involving Rangel and several other black and Jewish NYC pol endorsements, Congressional, City Council, State Legislature. Rangel got the play in the press, because he was the host and because he is the King of Harlem, okay?

3. Who knows, but Rangel was extremely rude today
when talking about Gore. He said sarcastically just before endorsing Clark "It was good to see Gore yesterday. I hadn't seen him in 2 years. Last time I looked for him was in Florida, but I couldn't find him there either."

A very lame, pathetic, and hateful attack. And yet, I wasn't surprised in the LEAST he was endorsing Clark.

Many of his supporters are just alike.

12. If you read the post it was in reference to Jackson Jr.
Jackson Jr. leaked his endorsement for Dean on 10/28, but he did not formally endorse Dean until this past Sunday. Rangel had not formally endorsed Dean until today, so whats the problem. Much ado about nothing if you ask me.

15. yep
They are nice for the moment for some media coverage, but then it's back to getting folks to vote for your candidate in the primary and then the nominee in the general. :)

19. Rangel comments today were really out of line, Clark should censure him.
Edited on Thu Dec-11-03 08:37 PM by sleipnir
If he's going to be a vocal public supporter of Clark, fine, it's his choice. But when he starts ragging on Gore, Dems, he's crossed the line of civility. It's all well and good to do this in the privacy of your home or on DU, but when his statements are on national tv, well, it's time I feel that Clark should step in and censure him, or at least try to calm him down. It's making Clark look bad by proxy.

24. I hate to tell you
But outside the Dean camp, Gore has made Dean look pretty bad by proxy, too. Let's call it a draw.

21. He's only endorsed him once... the thread about it keeps getting kicked
C'mon, Closer. Let's try avoid starting threads like this. I understand your frustration with the level of discourse in GD lately. Wes has his endorsements, Dean has his and neither candidate has the nomination. And remember we're all on the same team - ABB! :hi:

26. As Many As It Takes --It Will Be Worth It!!!
I'd be glad to have his endorsement every day of the week until November. Charlie Rangel is a straight-up, stand-up guy and is a good judge of character.

It's a good reflection on Clark that Charlie Rangel has been supporting him for so long.
