What is the deal on Halliburton and Bechtel?
I read bits and pieces, but can someone explain to me or give me links to what the deal is between these two companies and Bush/Cheney?

1. Halliburton and Bechtel are defense contractors with ties to Bush/Cheney

Cheney was CEO of HAL between Bush I and Bush II. Both companies received no-bid Iraq contracts.

The spin from the Right Wing Propaganda Machine (RWPM) was that only Haliburton & Bechtel could rebuild Iraq, and nobody else, so that is why they got the contracts.

I'm sure this is not true, but does anybody have links?

even tho their bid was higher than a competitor..???

What all do they do anyway?
