lieberman is not intrinsically evil
I absolutely disagree with Lieberman on most things, but I would vote for him over Bush because I don't think L. is evil. I'm a Dean supporter and hope to vote for Dean, but it is not necessary for me to paint his opponents as evil in order to support him. I think it is possible for thinking, caring people to come up with different solutions. I like Dean because I think that he would vote for what I think is right more times than L. or Kerry or anyone else would. But they would all vote for what I think is right more than Bush would. I don't think the other Democrats are evil for having different opinions from me. I support Dean because his positions are more like mine, but I am grateful that the candidates we all have to choose from are basically on the right side.

3. Yes he is....
His bravado towards the war in Iraq is getting louder by the day... He is using the lives of our troops for political fodder just like Rove and bunnypants...For this he will burn in hell!

2. Lieberman is a damn good Democrat
and a wonderfully upright man.

I would be proud to vote for Lieberman for any position, including President of the United States.

His record is clearly progressive and he supports issues that I agree with. He's unafraid of doing something that may not be popular because he believes it is the right thing to do.

Lieberman is intrinsically good.

4. I think there is more than meets
the eye when one finds so much hatred directed at Lieberman.

Think about it.

Questions? PM me.

5. I want the guy who is most likely to vote like me
The other guys are not evil, there are just less likely to do what I think should be done. I'm not part of a Dean cult or a L. hate club. I simply have assessed who is more likely to vote the way I want, and that's Dean. I have no reason to bash the others.

10. you have to be joking
Edited on Thu Dec-11-03 02:28 PM by RPG-7
The man believes in the death penalty for children, he was the leading champion of keeping stock options off corporate earnings sheets, he routinely writes huge checks for any military boondoggle he can find including star wars, he wants to privative social security and he is more of a bloodthirsty middle-east hawk than Bush.

He's a fucking monster whose policies litteraly kill people and because he's not a complete corporate fascist on a few tug-your-hearstrings issues like the environment and gay rights he is a progressive?

15. When did Dean say that he wants the Death Penalty for Children?
I think he said that he thinks someone deserves the death penalty for someone if they kill a child. That is a long way from saying he wants the death penalty for children.

I think his military slant is wrong, but i don't think he is evil because of it

7. He's just a bitter old man whom no one likes
I don't like him anymore, he's very pro-censorship (even worse, Pro-PNAC) and while he's not intrisically evil, I'd classify him as "Inheriently Scary." I'd never vote for *, EVER!!, but then again, I'd never vote for Lieberman as Pres, but what does my one vote matter...

8. I would vote for him over Bush in a heartbeat.
But, I would vote for a steaming turd over Bush, too. I believe Lieberman would reward his corporate friends just as Bush has done, but would be a better human being, and certainly more intelligent (wouldn't take much).

9. I don't care for his policies...
... but no way do I think he's 'evil'. I like to dis him at any opportunity - and I certainly don't think he's a paragon of virtue, but 'evil' I reserve for people with malevolent intent.

Lieberman's politics and mine are for the most part at odds, but I do think of him as decent person. He's not my favourite, but I'd vote for him in a heart beat over that steaming pile of pig terds currently sitting in the white house.

13. I agree
He's more like the impish sidekick to the REALLY bad guy, you know, the kind that cowers in the corner and begs for mercy when the good guys storm the evil fortress.

16. It's not hate...
I don't hate Lieberman, although I do think he's completely on the wrong track politically and his overt religiousness gives me the creeps. Likewise, I don't hate G.W. Bush, although I abhor his administration, his policies, and his lying. Without getting too touchy-feely, I think hate is a pointless emotion. If I really hated Bush, I'd feel like I should go out and shoot him. But I just want him removed from office and possibly prosecuted for crimes against humanity. It's not the same thing. :-)
