Greg Dyke, the BBC's director general, has attacked American television reporting of Iraq.
"For any news organisation to act as a cheerleader for government is to undermine your credibility," he said.

showed that, of 840 experts interviewed on American news programmes during the invasion of Iraq, only four

I have to check in to Faux News every now and then to get some perspective...and each time I do...I have to hurl...:puke:

I would see some story on CNN...switch over to Faux and they are completely blowing the story into something that it really isn't...they make such a big deal out of something so small...

Now the BBC...great...that's all I have to say...!

Because I assume you mean accuracy. But if you want consistancey, you could almost say "Fox" because you can always trust that it'll be misleading.

8. I voted "other"

I pick and choose between CNN, MSNBC, PBS, CBS and ABC. I always watch Lou Dobbs; always watch Keith Olberman; try to catch Aaron Brown; try to catch Crossfire; sometimes watch Chris Matthews; used to watch Buchanan and Press (damn, damn, damn); try to cath The News Hour; try to catch Jon Stewart and Nightline.

I know Lou Dobbs is a Republican, but he has things on that noone else is giving time to. On these certain things, loss of jobs, corporate malfeasance, broken borders and security thereof, he cannot be beaten. He also gives dems that he asks to come on a polite hearing; he is never rude, or at least I haven't seen that. I find his show provocative and good; and, I just rule out any conservative crap I don't like. After that, or sometimes during that, I roam the net, getting news from the BBC and elsewhere.

which is basically Canadian Broadcasting Company reports with shorter segments from places like Germany, France, Russia, China, and Japan.

Available on digital cable and possibly on satellite. It is the only news source that I watched during the Iraq invasion.

I sincerely hope that Gore does NOT buy this station and turn it into some mistaken idea of what might appeal to youth. NWI provides a unique service, and I would be extremely upset with Gore if he ruined it for some poorly thought out scheme. Let him buy one of the shopping channels, of which there are way too many.

10. I Watch NWI, Too

It's a great resource and alternative to American media that draws not only from Canada but from many other sources.

My main argument/beef with dittomonkeys is they need to stop just watching Faux...this is the network I point them toward...(although none could understand it even if they could find/afford it).

I hope Gore doesn't buy it as well...it's important to get foreign and independent news and entertainment sources into this country or the corporates really win.

12. I voted "other" because I don't trust any of the ones listed

so I don't watch them. Reading news from various sources (DU is good) on the internet works for me. Where are Kukla Fran & Ollie, Beanie & Cecil and Howdy Doody when you need them. Even a good old test pattern would be more trustworthy than the above list.

13. Multiple sources

It's never a good idea to trust one source. I haven't found any news source to be 100% accurate on anything. Everybody has their biases. So I make sure and check out varying sources and primary sources as often as possible.
