Are Republican women and "High Maintenance " women one in the same?
I was just thinking that all of the high maintenance women I know are Republicans.

1. not really
i don't think "high maintenance" has much to do with politics. more of a personal thing.

9. true but
there are democratic/liberal women who like only the "best things" for themselves, but they are also supportive of liberal causes and other things which involve helping or caring about others. i think jackie kennedy would apply in this case.

3. Maybe not one and the same.
Perhaps it's just more likely that a women with the GOP "what's in it for me?" attitude would feel she didn't have to strike a balance between taking and giving.

4. Being UGLY doesn't make them High Maintenance
Well, then again they have to pay more money to help them come even close to looking as good as us beautiful Democratic Women.

7. Well, look at the edge we have.
All the Republican women I know go around with perpetual sneers on their faces. No amount of face cream can help that.

15. dAnn Coulter & Kelly Ann
No amount of cash can make them look good because they are ugly on the inside as well as the outside.

I wonder is dAnn the man buys his/her makeup at a transvestite store?

16. I recently saw her on TV for the first time. Before I'd seen only stills.
When she gets that nasty look on her face and the pancake starts to crack, I'm sorry, I don't usually comment on other women's looks, but she is one ugly skank. She may look good from a distance, but once she opens her mouth, ewwww.

20. I usually don't comment on peoples looks either
It never has mattered to me and I never have hated people before but the Rethugs taught me how to hate people.

Do the right wing hate monger women use Spackle to cover up their ugliness?

6. I know a couple of women who consider themselves
high maintenance. They are the same ones who brag about being princesses, so I'm assuming that's what you mean. Neither one is political at all. In fact, I doubt if either could tell you who the VP is. Being high maintenance doesn't seem to leave much time for thinking about anything except yourself . All that maintenance, doncha know.

8. I don't think that disqualifies them.
They are too busy to do their homework but will vote the way their husband/friends do for two reasons: 1. It's not an important decision and it is easier to let someone else do the thinking. 2. If you vote, it's another excuse to go out to lunch with the girls and show off your new -- whatever.

10. Well, they might spout the Repuke line because
all those inferior democrats, black people, brown people, yellow people, poor people, etc. give them somebody to look down on when they run out of friends to trash. Think of all the material poor Monica alone provided. But actually get their hands dirty in a voting booth? I don't think we have to worry about it.

11. Materially or emotionally?
Some are buy-me-stuff high-maint and some are pay-attention-to-me high-maint. I tend to be the latter, and I'm as Democrat as they come.

12. i think people have different meanings
i saw some posts on here which makes it seem that some see "high maintanence" as being seflish , uncaring, even racist. but i just see it was someone wanting the best for themselves in a materialistic sense. but this doesn't always have to mean they don't care for others.

17. You probably mean me.
I didn't mean to imply that Republican women are prejudiced. They're not. They look down on everybody equally.

18. actually, i agree with you on republican women
i agree with you on what you say about republican women, and i do think many of them are racists. but the point i was making was that many of us are answering the question originally asked based on different definitions of "high maintanence". if your definition of high maintanence includes racism, then it would and should apply to many republican women. but my definition of it was someone just wanting the "best" things in a material sense which i believe could be applied to anyone regardless of politics.

19. Apologies in advance....
...I hate to nitpick, but the phrase is "one AND the same". It's one of those emphasis-by-repetition things.

I'll go sit back down in the pedant corner now. :)

25. Republican women occupy rather narrowly defined niches
The women who are married to the combover polyester suit guys have a rather uniform bouffant hair bland dairy-fed look. They dress in color coordinated suits to match their husband's politics.

When their husbands need something more exciting, they go somewhere else.
