22. You got me
The Andrew Young endorsement came close to cancelling out the Gore endorsement in my mind, but I still give a slight edge on positives to Dean.

It doesn't mean that Clark won't demonstrate another very positive quality and I change my mind back to Clark.

It also doesn't mean I won't change to Kerry, Lieberman, Sharpton, et al, but I give an edge to Dean right now and the negatives I see all over DU do nothing to phase me.

If you want to convince me to vote for your candidate, give me something positive about that candidate that I don't already know about. I ignore all negatives about all of the candidates.

19. I switched from Dean to Clark too
I kinda sorta backed Dean for a little while, very early on (even donated a little money to him the first time he brought out the bat) but my heart was never in it. Then someone told me about General Clark, I read up on him and joined the Draft Clark movement and there has been no turning back! Dean's okay, but Clark is THE MAN, in my humble opinion.

25. Once the voting starts, I expect it to be very close.....
Clark has a series of southern states at the end of the primaries that could help him sprint across the finish line. So I don't believe the front-runner is the best bet in this race. It's gonna piss some folks off, when they lose....Boy is it gonna piss 'em off.

The media's gonna help in making it a close race as well. They love drama. Watch for the Bush administration and neo-cons to start shifting into the panic mode around mid-march, if it's close.

27. I think I might qualify
for switching from Clark to Dean, that is. I was interested in Clark waaay back when, after the first rumors that he had met with some Dem bigwigs/fundraisers; I think that was some time around November of '02, before the Draft Clark movement was in existence. (Or, if it was in existence, I'd not heard of it). I did quite a bit of research & posted a thread about him, but there wasn't much interest. There was nothing else in the news about Clark for months after those first reports of meetings.

I saw Dean give his speech to the CA Dem Convention in March, & was very impressed. I researched him, & decided that he was the candidate I wanted to support.

I started checking Clark out just before he announced. I liked Graham's take on things, but he didn't quite "feel right" as a winning candidate. When he left I already had half a foot in the Clark camp.

That said, ABB. For the time being, AEDBGWIWCDTTBB.

33. From Dean to Edwards to Clark
I'm desperate and Dean is just not the strongest or most electable candidate. I don't know WHAT I was thinking about with that Edwards thing. Can we just ignore that slip? Listen, Clark can win. If I thought Dean could actually win I would support him. Can we all just wait until March and get along? Then we all can say we actually have a good idea of who has sea legs.

Thank You.

34. I am going from Dean to DK maybe
Something seems wrong about the last few days and that poll posted on here today really open my eyes to how far Clinton was down in the polls, then what happen to him and he still went on to win. Amazing how you forget things like that.

DK people, you need to get to NH to warn the voters there as they are people who do not like to be messed with. I have a feeling powerful groups are trying to decide this. Let the voters.

my support for Dean is not as solid as some of the Deanies here. But whatever, my primary is not until April 27. It would be better to have them earlier. because all this time is being wasted when Bush is unopposed in his primaries

Jude here. I really don't think he will servive the comming onslaught of what The feeding frenzy is about to bring him after that deal with GORE. He is No Bill Clinton and not even close to center. He is scum and he will be Toast! even with all his endorsements He will go down Baby. He is a very angry man and you you people are eating it up! I like the kind gentleman approach with civility and candor for a Press. Clark has that appeal, Dean just wants to gnaw on you face and act tuff, He's a pussy.

I am thinking of leaving dean after this last week and DK seems to be the only one that cares about the people. Clark and Dean care about the rich power groups.

DK is a dem all the time and I cannot figure out what Clark is? At least dean has been a dem all the time.

46. You're talking to a Vermonter
And if you knew what I know about Dean's campaign history and what he's able to overcome you wouldn't be so cocky. Dean has been in politics for 20 years or so and he has NEVER lost an election. He's about the greatest campaigner I've ever seen. On top of that, he ran against the ugliest hate campaign in my lifetime...and he won. It was just 6 months after signing the Civil Unions Bill. All the usual right wing national figures came to Vermont and tried to boost the Republican candidate. They failed miserably. Everytime anyone attacks Dean is just makes him stronger. If the party leadership wants to embolden him even more, they will do as you predict. At this point, there's really nothing they can do to beat him fairly, and if they betray the voters after the 2000 election there will be widespread mutiny within the party. They're really stuck between a rock and a hard place because no matter what they do, Dean is the one who is ultimately in control.
