Does anyone really think the nomination is already sealed?
Does Dean have it wrapped up since he got Gore's endorsement? I doubt it. I think it is a wide open race. It's almost Republican to try and convince people of an invincibility of one candidate or the other. We have a wide open race. The polls are not that important because almost every poll has a large number of "undecideds". Who knows who they will vote for? This is not a time to give up or to let up. If you are for Dean, it would be wise to keep on pushing. This thing isn't sewed up yet.

A lot can still happen. If Dean doesn't do well in Iowa and on February 3, he could still lose.

There's a long way to go and from the look of things right now, this may go to multiple ballots at the convention!

And I think that's precisely what the Democratic Party needs, a contested convention complete with deals made in smoky back rooms etc., to get the American voting public interested.

If it goes that far and at the end of the convention we have a ticket comprised of the top two candidates (whomsoever those two may be), Bush's ass is grass.

folks are in the minority. I really really have to ignore them because I want to like Dean in spite of his supporters. Sometimes it's hard, though.

12. Clarkies and Kerryites invented this.
Just like Rove invented Gore saying he invented the Internet, Clarkies and Kerryites managed to make up users saying "IT'S OVER, BABY, WITH A CAPITAL 'O'!" I, for one, haven't seen one example of it anywhere, and it really bothers me that THAT kind of behavior has basically thrown the entire forum into turmoil since the Gore endorsement.

Later.

14. I hope not.
Dean hasn't convinced me that he's the solution. Other candidates, Kucinich and Edwards, offer more articulated visions about what concerns me: Iraq, corporate interests, progressive energy policies, etc.. Hell even Wesley Clark sounds like he's more of an advocate for the environment than Dean. Perhaps, Dean is suffering from front runneritis and is treading lightly on many of the issues that he should be pouncing on.

way too early. While I think Dean is certainly doing better than the others, I don't think we've seen what Clark and Edwards are gonna do yet. I think they both have tremendous opportunity to move forward.

21. Wide open as the wine colored sea.
between now and the primaries, anything can happen. There are players all over the planet watching this race, and hoping to influence it.

The world has been known to change overnight.

Shit happens, right?

and Dean will continue to run as hard as if he were the underdog rather than 'frontrunner'... he's a man who seem to take nothing for granted, which is imo one of his most attractive qualities as a candidate.

25. No
Reagan endorsed Bush's second term. Lot's of people voted for Reagan but it didn't crossover to winning GHWB a second term.

As much as some people might like to go straight to HOME and collect their $200, there's a lot of votes to be cast and counted.

29. be wary of those New Hampshire voters . . .
they're and independent lot, and they don't like being told who to vote for . . . they also take a certain delight in misleading pollsters, just for their own amusement . . . I wouldn't count New Hampshire as a Dean runaway just yet . . .
