Wesley Clark FINALLY Put On RNC's Webpage
After being in the race for 2 months.

Although they don't mention him in their "Angry Democrat" attack ad....

Just thought some might get a kick out of that :)

3. Holy Shit, It Reminds Me of DU!
All the shit the RW puts up there to smear Clark, it's all been parroted by the Clark-haters here. Well, except the "Clark is a liberal" bit. The Clark-haters can't bear to hear that, even though it's true, at least. ;-)

Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 08:56 PM by JI7
the bottom is from a time magazine interview on december 8th 2003. notice he seems to think dean doesn't have the best chance of winning and says no when asked if he supports his candidacy. he thinks clark does from what he said on hardball and somewhere else. he also seems hurt by dean's confederate flag comments.

<THE DEAN CAMPAIGN EVOKES SOME MEMORIES OF YOUR CANDIDACY IN '76. WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF HIS CHANCES?
He seems to be doing quite well. He came down to Georgia when he was just planning the campaign and talked to me and my wife about the basic tactics of '76. On occasion, he has called me to give me a report on his campaign or to ask a question.

ARE YOU A SUPPORTER OF HIS CANDIDACY?
No, I'm going to support whoever I think will have the best chance next November.

WAS DEAN OFFENSIVE OR JUST TOO HONEST IN SAYING HE WANTED THE SUPPORT OF "GUYS WITH CONFEDERATE FLAGS IN THEIR PICKUP TRUCKS"?
As I told him afterward, if you had just said you want the support of Southern whites that drive pickup trucks, the same message would have got across. But when he threw in the Confederate flag, it showed a little bit of an incompatibility with national opinion.>

6. This is offical campaign rhetoric? It sounds like a Freeper!
I expected the RNC to keep the shameless stuff on the unofficial sites, oh my goodness look at this!

"A Flip-Flopping, Liberal Clinton Crony With A Penchant For Whoppers And Poor Foreign Policy Decisions."

CLARK IS NO CENTRIST, HE'S JUST ANOTHER LIBERAL

Clark Is "Pro-Choice" Liberal Who Would Raise Taxes And Appoint Liberal Judges

CLARK IS CLINTON'S GENERAL

Clark Is Bill Clinton's "Military Doppelganger" With "Track Record For Political Expediency."

CLARK HAS HISTORY OF POOR FOREIGN POLICY DECISIONS
Clark Upset Allies By Meeting With Serbian War Criminal
Clark's Kosovo Campaign Caused More Killing Than It Stopped, And Got Him Fired

21. I don't think Bush could beat Clark
If the Democratic party united behind Clark, I don't think Bush could beat him, and if they played it right we could even win Congress - really - but I'm not sure Democrats can do it. Us Democrats like to pretend that filling up the SUV is totally unrelated to bombing civilians and that shopping at Walmart has nothing to do with death squads in Central America. A Clark presidency would force us to deal with those realities and make important and painful decisions about what America should do.

Clark should have been more populist, and he would have cleaned up. The elite economic training just got in the way, too bad. Maybe he spent too much time building the empire to win the hearts of those who want to end it? I had kind of hoped Clark could keep it from crashing down on our heads.

Anyway, make sure Acxiom knows that I gave Clark money and say lots of good things about him on DU and other forums!

Do you think it can be done overnight? I guess we should not try to win the election then we'll just secede from the state and start our own then.

BTW which candidate did you support?

These attacks on the patriotism of a great General will not stand. These talking points were probably written by some fat, zit-faced intern who would be the first person to whine before the draft board that he could not serve because he had a zit on his ass. Oh, but I like this one as evidence that he should not be president:

In 2002, Clark Donated $1,000 To Former Clinton Aide Erskine Bowles' Failed Democrat Senate Bid.

Oh NO! Not a campaign contribution to Erskine Bowles! Call the cops immediately1 Hearings must be held to investigate!

Wow. This is the best they've got, outrageous fearmongering tactics, seemingly penned by a twelve year old boy with Bush photos on his bedroom wall. Or was this taken directly from Drudge? And then again, what is the difference between Drudge and a twelve year old boy with Bush photos on his bedroom wall? Or any GOP'er, for that matter?

25. Whoa, this stuff is comedy!
Dennis Kucinich: "A Flip-Flopping Liberal Extremist" <--the funniest of all! He's an extremist, y'all!

Clark: "A Flip-Flopping, Liberal Clinton Crony With A Penchant For Whoppers And Poor Foreign Policy Decisions"

Moseley-Braun: "A Controversial Liberal"

Sharpton: "A Liberal Democrat Out Of Touch With America"

..anybody notice a certain seven-letter L-word being thrown around in each of those as if it was a surprise that there are any liberals in the Democratic Party?

And is it just me or is Sharpton's headline the exact same one used for Howard Dean, like a year ago?

40. The page on DK is great
* Kucinich Voted For Iraq Liberation Act Of 1998, But Against 2002 Resolution Authorizing Use Of Force In Iraq. :wow:

He's for the freedom of the Iraqi people, but he doesn't want Americans to die so that we can free them from their oil? He must be a FLIP-FLOPPING LIBERAL EXTREMIST!!!

* Kucinich Asserts Iraq Has Neither The Intention Nor Ability To Harm United States.   (PBS' "The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer," 9/3/02)

He claimed that Iraq doesn't have WMDs? He must be a FLIP-FLOPPING LIBERAL EXTREMIST!!!

* Kucinich Consistently Votes To Cut Defense And Intelligence Spending.

He wants to give our military less money to kill people with? He must be a FLIP-FLOPPING LIBERAL EXTREMIST!!!

No way I'm voting for that guy, because he's a FLIP-FLOPPING LIBERAL EXTREMIST!!!

Oh yeah, DK has definitely got my vote. :D
