Right now Dean/Clark need to unmask BushCo's plan to reinstate the draft.
And they need to harp on this until election day. The general election should be framed as a choice between Peace -

and a return to the draft in order to sustain endless war (revealing BushCo plans to start perhaps 6 more wars.

Dems need to promise now that they will get us out of Iraq - and pledge to assure that our incredibly bloated defense budget is used for just that - defense. They must pledge to immediately reverse BushCo's illegal preemptive strike madness and their declared commitment to an endless war scheme.

Draft, draft, draft, draft - Dems need to alert the public that a vote for Bush/Cheney is definitely a vote to reinstate the draft - and an invitation to start more unwinnable, lengthy, Vietnam type wars.

There is no other issue so crucial, nor so problematic for the evil war chimp.

1. my only argument with your post
is that I would add the rest of the candidates' names to the subject line, and I'd add Gore, Clinton, Carter and anyone else who can utter a syllable or two. WHY IS THIS NOT A HEADLINE EVERY DAY??????

3. I agree.... the only problem is
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 04:09 PM by Ernesto
that no matter who is in the white house, the draft is coming back... I'm afraid that even if chimp gets shown the door, it will take years to clean up his mess. Our troops are being run ragged and plenty of reserves will not re-enlist. Even Dean will realize that we can't just walk away from Iraq without helping them to their feet...... Just this AM, I asked my father n law how he felt about his grandsons being drafted . The ol fart is a well educated world traveler, but he was amazed at my question. After I explained that selective service is being remobilized, I could see his concern growing....... Yes let's get the word out there 'cause I don't think any politician ever wants to utter the "D" word in public.

6. Dean/Clark? Did I miss something?
and good luck since Rangel (Clark's big congressional endorsement) has suggested reinstating the draft.

7. Stop annointing Dean the nominee and Clark the VEEP! This is insulting.
The issue of the reinstatement of the draft is HUGE. Quit playing out YOUR little fantasies with it.

8. Chimpy must go - WTF are you talking about? Clark/Dean
is that better? I happen to prefer Clark/Dean - but whether you prefer Holy Joe - that isn't the point! What fantasies of mine regarding the draft are you eluding to? Did you even read the post - or just glance at the subject line?

10. EP WTF are YOU talking about? I prefer Clark/Edwards, Edwards/Clark.
Surely you realize at least 75% of Democrats are NOT Dean supporters.
