Wehave two DUers running for the House Of Representatives. Imagine the possibilities if both won and we could have DU as a powerful political tool. Trust me, my staffers would be told to check the forums to keep an ear to the ground in here....your voice WOULD be heard and respresented!

I am sure that most Duers are like me and do not have much income left after the necessities are taken care of, but GEE WHIZ, should our very own have to beg? This is family, folks. This is what we are working to get....a gov't that is representative of the people and we are passing up the chance to do the right thing.
They are only asking for the price of one pizza here....one night at the movies....one less bottle of wine....walk or bike for a week and send what you save.

I have been involved in a variety of campaigns. I have held positions doing everything from your basic phone-banking and event volunteer to media coordinator (a 1996 county campaign), and I am currently the research director of Vince Whitacre's campaign.

And this is DU, Jacknife, not a New York Times ad. This is not a "get out the vote" attempt. Very few of these people are constituents of Jeff or Vince (and the few who are have been overwhelmingly supportive). This is how you ask for money from friends -- and I can't speak for Jeff, but I see DUers as my friends. You say "please" and you have fun and you even tease them a little. That's how it works.
