These candidates made Gore look foolish today.
They were united with eachother and one after another made Gore seem irrelevant. Dean will get a boost from campaigning with Gore, but I am not sure how much it will help anymore.

2. What's wrong with that?
I didn't bash anyone. I didn't say it hurt any single candidate.

12. If you have an opinion
that isn't favorable to Dean, Puhleeze, keep it to yourself! :eyes:

I agree with your post, BTW. Gore came out of this not looking good.

5. I refuse to dignify this pathetic attempt at flamebait
with a reasoned response.

"Gore Sucks! Gore Sucks! Gore Sucks!"

3. No matter how badly you wish it otherwise
Gore's endorsement was a major coup that will resonate with a lot of people. I will agree that, from what I've been reading, the candidates did a good job dealing with a crappy moderator.

6. And I LIKE that we have so many good people to choose from.
If Dean seems superstrong in NY, I may give my vote to Kucinich for his stand on BBV.

7. I hope you're not suprised
by the foolish, disrepectful and nefarious post. Consider the source.

And ten bucks says it remains.

This place has become hostile, bitter, and a Clark crying fest. I think many of the most respected DUers are giving it a break.

will swing the election to Newsom? ;-)

8. That's exactly how I felt watching all those great candidates.
Get out of the way Al, and let these wonderful candidates keep talking, and debating and sharing their passion and ideas.

It's a great field. Let's play the game.

16. ironic coming from a Clark supporter - when the Clark campaign has
... been saying since day one that "Dean can't win" and "only Clark can win". how DARE Al Gore express a different opinion of who can win, when Clark supporters have spoken?

If you are unsure, reread it.

20. I don't worry about personal attacks.
Search my name for the last 24 hours. You will see how gracious I have been. I made a very specific point. If some of the Deaniacs don't agree, that's fine. But to me, it has nothing to do with sour grapes. You know, if Clark got the endoresment the Dean crowd would be freaking out. "Clark is the DLC choice." Clark is here to steal it from Dean. That's politics.

17. I have no problem with it.
That's fine. How about addressing the issue instead of attacking me personally. If Dean is the nominee, great. You said consider the source. I agree and a campaign like anything else is only as strong as the weakest link. You are the weakest link. Bye bye

Gore said nothing bad about any of them in his endorsment of Dean.

21. Except that they should all drop out.
Of course that's not my point. But the more I heard it, the less I liked it. They should all clear the field before a vote is cast.

22. Read the text of the speech Gore gave
how can one argue with it?

Making Gore irrevelant is a mistake. He received more votes than any other Democratic candidate in history.

He is not irrelevant today.

23. They mostly made themselves look foolish
They shoul each think long and hard abouy how a Repug would've handled such a situation. That's not an approach I would endorse, but something betweeb Repug and their collective shameful response would've been appropriate.
