U.S. House of Reps. Approves Bill to Censor American
Citizens from Voicing Opposition to U.S. War on Drugs

WASHINGTON - December 9 - A little-known provision buried within the omnibus federal
spending bill that the U.S. House of Representatives approved yesterday would take away
federal grants from local and state transportation authorities that allow citizens to run
advertising on buses, trains, or subways in support of reforming our nation’s drug laws. If
enacted, the provision could effectively silence community groups around the country that are
using advertising to educate Americans about medical marijuana and other drug policy
reforms. Meanwhile, this same bill gives the White House $145 million in taxpayer money to
run anti-marijuana ads next year.

3. Wonder how much the booze industry contributes to keeping
pot illegal.

Don't want people getting a mellow buzz and fruit juice.

7. it is time to clean the bastards out....
Republican and Democrats alike-- most of this country's "leadership" no longer represents the best interests of its people. Now it's quasi-illegal to vocally support reformation of bad laws. Tommy Chong is in prison while Kenny Boy Lay enjoys the fruits of his treachery. An evil repressive f*ck is Attorney General and the village idiot is in charge of the executive branch. 2004 isn't the objective, folks, it's only the beginning. We need a grass roots movement to take America back. </rant>

11. This is another reason I don't like Democrats
they are JUST AS BAD on the Drug War question. Hell, they even try to be WORSE than the Retropukes to gain favor from the American sheeple!

13. Why do they pass shit that will last fifteen minutes in the courts?
"Conservatives" love to appeal to their base to be sure--but wouldn't their base be disgusted at the taxpayers' cost of fighting this losing battle in the couts? Oh yeah. I forgot "conservatives" don't mind spending money on big government taking away freedoms when it comes to their issues. Idiots.
