Does it matter???
Seriously, I'm growing concerned over this. Does it matter who gets the presidential nomination? I thought we were all united on getting Bush out of the White House? Any Democratic nominee will be better than him. I can honestly say that I have not chose a candidate yet, and my state (Colorado) is not even going to have a primary due to budget issues. I hate to see people fighting each other or ganging up on one candidate - I think Gore has it right when he states we need to focus on Bush.

Is it the ideal nomination process....no, but I can tell you that I will be more terrified if Bush gets re-elected with a Republican Congress and drives us into hell. Just my two cents....

Nick

1. it's just primary season
... imho this is what primaries are for. Seems divisive, but wait until the nomination and everyone will come together.

don't let all the friction you see here on DU get you down!

2. Some of us do not understand the acrimony
that is beating up on other Dem candidates--including myself. Some of us are not exactly cheerleaders for any one candidate or any one person who recommends any one candidate. Some of us are simply not followers and hear a different drum than jumping on any one bandwagon and beating the drum to it's tune. Maybe there is something missing in the genes--speaking for myself, I will accept anyone who is capable of beating the Bush baby boy and his little , Stepford frump he brought with him as a prop. I will work tirelessly for whoever it is. There is NO choice other than the ONE who is selected in the primaries. Bush must be laughing his head off at the acrimony and the posturing that is going on, right now. Gore realized it and tried to do the right thing to gather in the sheep. The rest of them do not seem to be interested in saving the country from a Bush fascism and probably continued war and destruction, but more interested in their own political ego driven, campaigns. It is not the time for that. Dean is at the head of the list--the rest need to understand they are only making George laugh at them--Lieberman never had a chance, Gebhart never had a chance, ditto for Sharpton and Braun and Edwards. They should go for the strength of the unity now and fully back the frontrunner for the sake of the people of the US.
