1. There Is No Way He Can Win...
He should drop out now.....

I think his votes would go to Gep, Edwards, and Clark....

2. I anticipate
that Joe is going to go "scorched earth" and lambaste the whole party "Zell style". This is just what Rove wanted.

3. I don't like Holy Joe Lieberman
However, that doesn't mean he should drop out now. I am saying this out of respect for his candidacy.

4. He Has No Chance Of Winning And He Is Only Taking Away Support
from candidates whose positions more closely match his....

Elections should be about "big ideas" and not egoes....

5. And...
Every time he bashes another Dem he provides talking points for Rove.
He's gotta go.

7. I Don't Have Any Personal Animus Against Joe
but him and four other candidates who have no chance of winning should think seriously about exiting the race...

6. Why should he drop out???
There are other "bright" spots for him in Conneticut (of course) and Ohio. I am not sure about the other states, but I would assume that he has some support there as well.

It is not all about the Gore endorsement. He is trying to get 3rd place in NH. I doubt he will, but that is a choice for his campaign. If he does get 3rd place, then there would be political life left in him still.

9. I Would Hope He Wins His Home State
but I would put his chances at about fifteen to one....

Here's my odds for the nomination...

Howard Dean 1 to 2

Dick Gephardt 3 to 1

Wes Clark 5 to 1

John Edwards 10 to 1

John Kerry 12 to 1

Joe Lieberman 15 to 1

Al Sharpton 100 to 1

Dennis Kucinich 100 to 1

Carol Moseley Braun 100 to 1

14. I Really Don't Dislike Joe
but I can't envision any scenario where he can win the nomination...

Truth be told I can't see anybody but Dean, Clark, Edwards, or Gep winning the nomination...

I can create scenarioes where those guys can win.... I really can't create scenarioes where Kerry, Lieberman, or the others win...

13. I agree. Let the voters decide.
The media, institutions, and famous people should not make their decisions for them.

8. Look, no one needed to put a proverbial
anything anywhere, because the only people (besides fundies and orthodox Jews) who thought he EVER had a chance don't exist.

Out of respect for anyone running, I believe they should either drop out w/o endorsing or drop out w/endorsing.

How did Graham handle this please?

15. Joe's hoping to get the Veep nod from
...Bush. Wrong party, of course, but that doesn't seem to stop him from trying. Maybe he figures his single-minded dedication to the cause will get him the job anyway.

16. I voted #3
but I think it's unfair to say the Liberman campaign is dead. In a coma maybe.

Maybe if Lieberman would spend more time being a Democrat instead of fighting against Donuts & video games he might be able to revive his dignity a bit.

18. If I were him . . .
I would fight to the bitter end. If I was going to go down, I'd try to take as many people with me.

Personal loyalty is one of the few things in this world I actually put any stock in. And I feel that Gore betrayed him. Especially if it is true that he did not tell him before the announcement was made.

I'd be ten different kinds of pissed off.

19. Stay in the race
Gore's endorsement hasn't changed my view about the primary race, the more the merrier. if Joe has it in him to continue than he should.

who the hell am i to wish him gone.

the primaries are part of the Democratic process, everyone has the right to participate.
