WASHINGTON - Here are a few of the eye-catching projects buried in the "omnibus" spending bill that was patched together by House and Senate Appropriations Committees and that Congress will consider next week:

$50 million to build a giant indoor rainforest in Iowa, at the request of Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.

$3 million for a mentoring program to help young people learn to play golf.

$142,000 to develop baby food from salmon.
