Clinton and the military. Someone clear this up. Please.

I am so sick and tired of hearing moronic republicans saying. "Clinton destroyed the military." Nevermind that to date no one has been able to respond to my argument which is: Giving how long it takes to audit the military and identify what is weak and needs to be improved; the conception of any weapon system and/or platform, the mockups and testing of weapons or aircraft and then assuming they meet the need and are approved, to then put them into production and actually have them in the inventory of the military as well has having crack trained troops to operated such new weaponry, THAT!! Bush sure seemed to have a well equiped and trained military when ever he decided to use them. The point is since the lead time to equip the military with what it needs is at least the entire term of any president and that there just has not been enough time in the Bush administrtation to rebuild and retrain a so called "destroyed" military. My point should be clear. Anyway no one has been able to address this argument and then at the same time still yell that Clinton destroyed the military. What on earth are these people talking about? I mean how can they latch on to such a fairy tale?
I suppose what I'm asking is what would any of you folks say to one of these idiots that tried to pull this crap on you?
I just cannot believe that these fruitcakes really believe this is something that is even true let alone try and continue to try and beat Clinton up with it. Where do they get such lies and how is it they latch on to such crap and preach it as if were in anyway true?
I just cannot fathom some of these republican "knuckedraggers."
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
