Poll question: 12/7 Primary Candidate Poll
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 08:48 PM by BullGooseLoony
Is Kerry coming up after his meeting with Franken, Alterman, Fineman and Pitt? Considering the revelations of that meeting, who are you going to be voting for in the Democratic Presidential Primary?

Let's get it on!

On edit: Keep this kicked, y'all.

5. This place is way
too biased a place to run this poll now. The anti-war rhetoric (even though both supported the war in one form or another) from these two guys was enough to sway the easily convinced.

Too bad the scary part is that rhetoric never means nothing post-election time.

6. So we'd be unbiased, fair and balanced...
..if Kerry WAS winning?
Maybe Clark and Dean are just the two best and/or most popular candidates? Nationwide polls would tell you that.

7. Clark way ahead, as usual.
I'm sorry but these numerous polls from one of the most activist Dem websites consistently showing Clark to have the greatest support MEAN SOMETHING. I believe he's going to win the nomination. Once we get past those (Dean) safe states, Iowa and NH, Clark will surge into the lead, guaranteed!

8. IA is not a safe state
for Dean at the moment. Gep is running about even with him there. So the polls say, anyway.

21. Not complaining.
Do with the results what you will.

I would just note that these polls typically fall over 30,000 votes short of revealing DU's preference. If you find succor in these polls, more power to ya. No big whoop.

27. I voted for Clark, but this poll really means nothing
Clark (my candidate) is who most of the non-Dean internet community has rallied around, but that's really not an indication of current support. Clark in more representative national polls is statistically running about even with Gephardt, Kerry, and Lieberman for the #2 spot.

Certainly the buzz from the internet crowd won't hurt him, but let's keep the 1948 precedent in mind. Thomas Dewey had all the buzz, but Harry Truman had the support on the ground where the votes actually counted. Turns out the polls predicting Dewey's victory were compiled in part from calling lists that came from car dealerships' customer lists--not a representative sample of the voting public.

17. These polls are too repetitive
and I'm saying that as a Clarkie. Why not have DU conduct an official poll, or at least wait more than 3 days to do another one.
