http://www.1id.army.mil/1stInfantry/photos.htm

The 8th one down is Jimmy getting promoted (He's the one who started all this by giving us the names of some of his friends) His Mom and I have been friends for 15 years or more :)

This is apparently from a service newspaper/magazine..

News from him via Mom & Dad..NO ONE he knows is re-enlisting..

1. If things are so great as Rumsfeld says, why aren't these guys re-upping?
other plans in life or turned off by the Bush Wackos?

2. Thats great no one is reenlisting...
I would never reenlist to continue murdering innocent civilians, contributing to an illegal war, and commiting war crimes...so thumbs up for your adopted troops your supporting like a true patriot.

BTW, Im kinda doing the same thing here, adopting those fine American's who are struggling to do their duty to kill humanity. Below is our cute little adoptee (just makes me want to cry I am so proud):

(please excuse me in advance, as I coulnd't resist such a chance at shock value to make a point--I do resent my actions as I recognize you long term relationship with this family. :) I mean nothing personal beyond making a point at what they are really doing, and contributing towards, is nothing but murder, wether you know them, love them, or never met them before. Those are our troops.)

4. What about having a prepared military don't you get?
I truly hope that you are less than 16, because if you are older and still know so little there isn't much hope.

5. A prepared military is fine...
..if all they are is prepared, rather than in foreign countries slaughtering people with dark skin. What about that do you not get?

As long as they are doing that, then I find it a priority that morally conscious people abstain from murderous actions and do not reenlist, as an attempt to influence international policy and not commit warcrimes.

In any day, I opt to live in a nation with an unprepared military that is working towards ending an injustice than in a nation with a beefed up military that invades foreign countries. Be great if we can get some middle ground and just be in a nation that merely has a strong military and minds their own fucking business, but such is not the context of our reality, now is it?
