I noticed Hillary
dodged the question when George Stephanopolous)(sp) asked her about how were issues partisian or something to that effect when 11 Dems voted for the medicare change, voted for IWR(others he named Dems voted for escapes me now) and she did not answer it and I was really wanting to hear her reply. Did anyone else catch that and do you think she should have given an answer as to why so many Dems are voting with the repugs on so many issues?

Energy and social security will be up next year and I wonder where will Dems land on these issues.

1. I missed that, but
the thing that really caught my attention was when Will claimed that since steel production has risen while the number of steel jobs has dropped, it's really a good thing when we lose jobs in an industry because that means we're being more efficient. "Americans are the most productive workers in the world."
It was hard to believe that this guy was trying to propose that it's a good thing for America to lose jobs in a sector. Isn't the whole point of being highly productive to attract more investment, not shed it? He was trying to make a case for efficiency for the sake of efficiency. I guess if we had one worker who was divinely productive, then everyone else would be unemployed and that would be "good" according to Will, since we'd have the most highly productive work force possible.

5. Hillary is a National Treasure for sure. History will treat H much kinder
than the Pubs would want.

That she is held in such high esteem just kills the Master Pubs.

And mind you, this despite their massive efforts to denigrate her and husband President Clinton. This proves GOODNESS prevails over bad press, bad PR, and bad psyops. More and more people are realizing the diff between good and evil.

Come, we laugh at some Bush jokes.

3. Well, you just brushed the entire problem with Republicans on the econmy
They are telling the truth when they are saying that the economy is turning around and doing well. As far as they are concerned, things couldn't be better. Profits are up, and the market is going back up.

Frankly, that is all they care about. They really don't give a shit about jobs. At all.

All that matters is the bottom line. Thats why CEOs would rather lay off 3,000 people than take a pay cut.

8. republicans believes negatives mean success
saying that loss of job means the usa is prospering, is the
same logic that bush used when he said the more casualties we
have in Iraq means we are being successful (how much more
success can we stand?).

The same logic applies when the pubs say the economy is
growing - sure it is - for the wealthy and CEO's and the like
- but for the rest of us - no jobs (this is growth?)

4. she gave a good answer on Meet the Press
Russert asked her the same question, specifically about the Medicare bill, she said the GOP controls what gets voted on, the dems have no input.

6. no unity, either
but she could not assure that Democrats would all stand up for these issues

I was disturbed by Hillary's MtP appearance...she did well, personally, but I'm not liking the politics
