1. Honestly, I wish I knew...I know they watch their blog carefully
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 11:48 AM by xultar
well at least the old one cuz...I made lots of comments about Clark wearing the dark suit white shirt red tie uniform just before rock the vote. I suggested a turtleneck with a blazer....I'm sure they didn't do it just on my word alone but it was a consideration.

on edit

I hope they are at least listening...they have to be. DU is a great place to take the pulse of the people.

4. Not entirely sure...
But this topic in GD
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=840480&mesg_id=840480
is by someone who spent considerable time translating video of a Clark speech to DISPPROVE the Nation's 'smear' piece...

But be a dedicated supporter that simply wants the 'truth' to come out...

LOL...don't forget to donate to Clark

5. I have the communications directors
private email address.....

I am just a volunteer for the campaign, and was only referred to him because I've done some extensive research in Clark's defense.

7. Oh come on!
there is a lot of people that came to DU in the last 6 months because they are fired up to get rid of Bush! I sincerely doubt the campaigns pay people to chat on DU all day.

My only connection to the campaign is I have made contributions like any other interested American.

Keep it real!

13. LOL

"They're in every thread, they have low post counts and usually insert "Wes" somewhere in their username."

I noticed this too--there's at least four posters I know of with either "Clark" or "Wes" in their usernames.

17. Just had lunch with Gen. Clark
I was fortunate to meet with some of his staff too. I told them, for gosh sakes, to get him a couple of custom tailored suits. So often he looks like his suit jacket is too large and particularly ill fitting in the collar. Florida yesterday was a prime example...really bad.
They actually were quite interested. But it is really difficult for me to believe that others had not said something.
He evidently does have someone who picks out his clothes, so I pleaded for them to ditch that particular suit.
He looked just fantastic today. Dark suit that fit well and nice red tie.
I gifted him a magic tie that would keep Chris Matthews at bay tomorrow at Harvard. Let's see if he wears it.

'twas a red letter day for me! I am still smiling.

19. Welcome!

:hi:
Another low post operative for Clark!

I wish I were an "operative." That would be cool. Alas I am but a lowly supporter who donates time and money to the campaign whenever I can.

I keep waiting for that PNAC check but it must have gotten lost in the mail.

24. thanks, I have been
a totally addicted lurker for quite some while here...
General Clark is just wonderful. A true gentleman. He sort of has a Mr. Rogers side to him... Makes you feel that everything will be OK with him in charge.
I sure hope so. :-)
We are working and donating too.
I was thrilled to meet with him twice today.
Awesome, awesome experience.

23. What color was the tie?
Was it a solid color? Patterened? I'll be watching him tomorrow and will make a special note to check out his tie. ;)

28. well, I actually gave him three magic ties...
I was going to let him pick one to make it less of a large gift, but what the hey...One of his people from Little Rock checked and he said that he thought it would be OK to give then all to him.
The one that I loved was a gorgeous rep stripe tie, dark blue and gold. I think that rep stripes might not be in fashion now... But it is truly a power tie.
2nd one was a sort of silvery tie with little regular dots of gold-yellow (much more handsome than it sounds).
And the third was a pretty much solid medium to light blue one. It had a hint of a bluish purple when seen from the side.

He seemed quite pleased.

I figured that as much as he is in the public eye at functions that might be conducive to spills, he would enjoy a fresh silk tie or two.

You KNOW that I will be watching Chris Matthews and the debate to see if he wears one of 'em. I sure would like to see that rep-stripe on TV-But he has so many other stops scheduled, that I feel certain that they will be used. So I am ahppy either way.

18. Comments on Clark on C-Span
What is up with the comments people were making about Clark on C-Span this morning? At least two callers said he looks crazy. I know this is silly, but they must be getting that idea from somewhere? If that's the best they can do to attack Clark, it makes Clark look strong, in my eyes, though I remain ABB.

26. The RWers have spread rumors
that Clark is a deranged mad man. If one just listens to the man, they will know that is a lie.

I told my sister I had switched from Dean to the Clark campaign and the first thing she said was.."Oh, the only thing I have heard and read about him is that he is quite the crazy man." I explained to her that that was RW propaganda and am in the process of making copies of the positive things that have been said about Clark. She doesn't use the internet. :eyes: This is a very smart woman and actually believed that crap. The fight for this man will be endless, but SO worth it!

27. Thanks
I doubted it was a coincidence, and the two guys I heard didn't sound like they'd be capable of an original thought. So, he's going to get the McCain treatment, then. Yuu know, that makes me really mad. This is a man who, like my father, has served his country so well and in so many ways, he deserves better than this crap from people who worship a drunken coke-head who deserted his country in the time of war! Disgusting!

20. Met with General Clark today and
some of his staff.

I begged the staff to get our General a couple of custom tailored suits. He very often wears suit jackets that gap entirely too much at the neck and sort of pop open in front...sort of like the jacket is way too big.

Florida yesterday was a prime example.

The staff seemed interested in the observation and said that they will get it done. The General does have someone that picks out his clothes... what were they thinking? They also said that Gen. Clark sort of "squirms" in his clothes.

Today though, he looked fantastic in a dark suit that was a good fit and a great red tie.

I gifted him a magic tie that will keep Chris Matthews at bay tomorrow night at Harvard. Let's see if he wears it! I was hoping that I could get him to exchange for the one he had on...but no luck. His schedule was very hurried and I was lucky to get in a question about Kosovo War Crimes Trial, and get a great hug and a picture.

What a day!!
