I'm confused, suppose Saddams sons were captured...
Would they be prosecuted?

Under what charges?

Where would they be prosecuted?

Who would do it?

Would this be seen as legitimate by all members of the Iraqi society?

Suppose they were convicted and sentenced to death, who would carry out the execution?

By what means would they be executed, are we comfortable with beheadings or stonings?

What about all of the other cards in the deck, are there going to be trials, or are they going to be banished to Cuban dog kennels?

1. The ongoing theory is...
that they have been in US hands for quite some time and they died
in captivity. I'm sure that they were trying to get the guys to
spill the whereabouts of Saddam...and maybe even Osama IF there was
a connection between the two.

What I don't understand is: the US had to know that showing the
bodies would be a direct insult to Muslims. Bodies cannot be
paraded like that. IMHO, this was done to further enrage the people
that are sniping at the US troops in order to make them come out of
the woodwork.
I'm quite sure that US Muslim "allies" aren't too happy about this
since many of their population are going to get mighty uptight about
suc actions.

The other thing that is completely deplorable is Bush's behavior.
Cheering over the deaths of two individuals is not something that
is seen as "civilized" in the modern world. What judicial process did
these two go through if any?
The US is overstepping its bounds withing the international
community. This sort of behavior is beyond what ANY "rogue nation"
has EVER done.

I just shake my head in disbelief...I can't believe that the US has
changed so much in such a short period of time.

4. ESPN.com carries Hunter S. Thompson-The poleshift has occurred!

The Stock Market will never come back, our Armies will never again be No. 1, and our children will drink filthy water for the rest of our lives.

The Bush family must be very proud of themselves today, but I am not. Big Darkness, soon come. Take my word for it.

Hey! Where are my box scores!

2. Hussein's Sons would NOT have been captured, but...
The US had too many deals with Saddam that would have come out in any trial, ergo - he and his sons were doomed to assassination.

That having been said, - had they been captured, they would have to be a) turned over to the non-existent Iraqi government to be tried in their now non-existent courts. The people of Iraq could have charged them with crimes against humanity.

b)dealt with in the World Criminal Court, from which Bush has made the US exempt. Some show that would have been.

Bottom line: This administration has chosen to violate or ignore internation, UN, and US law. The executive order not to assassinate leaders of other countries has been in effect since Reagan. It is in effect, technically, now. But that doesn't stop Bush and Rumsefeld and their cronies. Might makes Right.

3. have we captured everyone? Where are they?
Why believe that US has?

What was Wolfowitz doing in Iraq at same time
of Hussein boys' deaths?

Udai, Quesai (haven't seen more different name
spellings since Qaddaffi) are/were heads of
Republican Guard-yet-only 4 people in
Mosul home? That's the best these guys can do?

U.S. officials have declined to reveal how
they have had access to the former ruling
family's medical records.

Inside the tent, U.S. officials said it was standard
practice to use morticians putty to prepare bodies
for viewing and was not intended to fool the Iraqi people.

But while it may be common in the United States,
the move is unheard of in the Arab world. That could affect Washington's efforts to quash Iraqi conspiracy
theories that the bodies are not in fact those of the once
powerful and hated sons of Saddam, who is believed to be still in hiding in Iraq.
