someone just wrote this on a blog i help maintain... i thought i'd share with you all...

Hey, the wife and I just got our "rebate" check. As some of you know, I've been out of work a long time (almost a year), and my wife recently lost her job and was just turned down for unemployment. We're being evicted this coming Thursday: we have no money and no place to go, the odds are good we'll be homeless. We talk to a lot of charity places and all they do is recommend other charity places, they are pretty much all strapped for cash. Bush promised an "average" of $400 per child, but of course the ones on top skewer the average: if we had gotten $800 it would have been a big help.

We got THIRTEEN DOLLARS and FIFTY CENTS.

Meanwhile, the guy making seven figures gets several thousand that he doesn't need and may or may not spend.

Let's use this as a campaign issue. Who else got piddly little checks or nothing at all? Man I'm pissed.

28. Looks like we have been hacked!
Must have been a freeper man. If we can find out who, we can make a big news splash over it.

My comment was that the poop will really hit the fan when some rich Dem discloses the ton of money he/she got back.

30. hey! there was nothing wrong with MY post
I merely pointed out to someone who was "tax code challenged" that the ability to take the EIC DOES NOT mean that one did not pay taxes. Quite the contrary in many cases----apparently this pissed someone off.

Screw them.
