I-4 Corridor Democratic group....some questions about it.
My hubby went to the county meeting here last night at the Holiday Inn, and he was very impressed with the variety of people there. It appears they have outgrown that meeting place, with some of our Dean group traveling from other cities to attend.

Could someone tell me more about its origins? It seems to be an activist type group. We are really impressed with the people who attended.

The speaker was an economics(?) professor from FSC, and he mentioned a site called the Prudent Bear.

Looks more realistic in its assessment of our economy than the usual suspects. He said the guy mentioned our much our country was in debt to and owned by foreign groups, especially Japan. I had heard that before. Very pertinent now, as I don't imagine we are paying our debts very promptly.

1. Have not.............
even heard of the I-4 corridor group, though I'm a recent trasnplant to the area. I'd be very interested in future get togethers. I'm attending my first local Democratic leadership meeting this coming Monday and maybe I can find out something there. I fear that at this hour the response level to this post will be minimal. You might want to try again in the afternoon. Thanks.

2. Don't know much about it yet.
We are supposed to get an email from them to tell more about the monthly meetings. They are held from Tampa to Orlando across the corridor of Interstate 4. It is good to see this area get organized. There was a diversity of people there, which is good.

I will post here about the next meeting. Apparently the meeting at Holiday Inn was too large for the facilities.

I also had a letter from someone who attended the last DEC meeting here. The words were on the line of at least they were civil, but nothing was accomplished.
