1. glad to know why you think Dean is awful
now, please, contribute something positive. You aren't helping Clark with this, you must realize.

I must ask, though, in reference to #3: Would the South like a Yankee from the South?

Welcome to DU, Marines for Clark!

:hi:

4. good point.....so why's marines for clark promoting Dean instead of
Clark? The more attention you draw to Dean, you legitimize his front-runner status----haven't the Clarkites figured that out by now here on GD?

5. What will hurt Dean
is so-called Dems trumping these things up at every turn in a tranparent attempt to prop their own candidate up.

6. But on the positive side

Dean has the best policy when it comes to dealing with the Soviet Union.

On edit. He's the only candidate talking about the Soviet Union in current foreign policy.

7. You forgot his #1 liability
His support for a middle-class tax increase. That will be absolutely devastating in the general election.

I thought I saw this same post by you about 20 minutes ago. Duping yourself is a bit ego-centric.

9. The religion thing is serious.
In 94, turnout for the religous right right was higher than its representation in the population (25% of the population, something like 27% of the voters).

I believe that their turnout has steadily dropped all the way down to something like 12-15% of the population.

Bush is looking for issues to get this demographic back to the polls.

The started with the whole thing where they let religious groups compete for federal grants. CU will be next. Abortion is the third. And Dean is IDIOTICALLY tickling the tail of the tiger by referring to the devout as "those people." It may play well to the internet libertarians, but Rove is drooling over this shit.
