Yahoo Right Wing Headline Defending Bush Is Disgusting
Democrats Question Blank Pages in 9/11 Report

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=615&e=4&u=/nm/security_intelligence_congress_dc

If you read the article (which most people won't), it actually quotes Democrats and at least one Republican, as well as talking about victims of 9/11. Yet, for their right wing bosses, Yahoo spins the headline to make it seem like only Democrats are questioning Bush, and probably for political gain. I know it's the way that the right wing media operates in the U.S., but it's still frustrating.

1. Confuicious 102.09 He who can spin, usually win
When segments of the media locksteps with the CLAP guys, it presents a hard row to hoe for those wishing the truth.

The formula for the Pubs is win at any cost, never mind small things like deciet, distortion, and distraction.

2. that headline makes me happy
For the first time in a long time, Democrats are doing their job as an opposition party. That's what they're supposed to be doing. That's the way our system is supposed to work. And remember, for a long time after 9/11, even if Democrats did make opposition statements, the media didn't print them.

On the other hand, however I see your point. The article quotes a republican who questions the secrecy, too. A more appropriate headline would be, "Democrats, Republicans Question Blank Pages...".

3. Question media "blank Pages" about Saudi-Bush connections!
That's the greatest "blank page" in the world.

4. It's Reuters, they're like that
I use yahoo as a homepage, and I have it now using AP news rather than Reuters.
