Is the heat still on bush*? Been away for a week.....

Just got back from a vacation since Saturday and I only watched a combined total of maybe an hours worth of news, didn't even turn on a computer, and only read the paper headlines as I passed the newspaper machines right by the house we were renting. In short it was gloriously peaceful.

So I know that Saddam's sons were killed.
I know that one of Condi's underlings is the latest fall guy.
I know that Jessica Lynch returned home.

But is the heat still on this admin and their wrongdoings or are the people accepting even the lamest excuses and most minor of "victories" as yet another reason to support the chimp?

My wife, daughter and I were away with my parents and as I've mentioned before they (my folks) are moderate democrats who begrudgingly supported the Iraq war and believed a lot of the hype. But the only political talk we had was one positive line from my mom. "People are right. Clinton got put through the ringer for lying about what he lied about, but Bush lied about something that got people killed." My response was that the "people" wanted to convince themselves desparately that we didn't kill at least 5,000 civillians and 233 american soldiers based on a lie. She nodded in agreement and that was all we talked about.
