Prescott Bush and George Bush Senior Supported Family Planning!
According to an article at http://www.womensenews.org/article.cfm?aid=401, Prescott Bush lost an election because he supported family planning. George Bush Senior was also a strong supporter of family planning - uintil Ronald Reagan made him choose between family planning and a political career.

So, if it wasn't for Ronald Reagan, would George W. Bush be a more moderate moron?

1. Reagan used to be pro-choice too
People forget that. He signed California's liberal abortion law in 1967.

2. it had to do with eugenics
The Bush family has a long romance with eugenics, even advocating DEpopulation of "lesser" peoples.

George HW was so excited about controlling the population of third-world peoples that his fellow congressmen nicknamed him "Rubbers" and it stuck and he hated it.

5. That's one reason they are not in too big a hurry to help Africa

with the AIDS crisis.. Can you imagine what the toll will be on Africa, China, Russia and Indonesia as AIDS sweeps through those places in the next decade or so..

If the US and the other "western" countries do not pour money, education and drugs into those areas, they will have a modern day plague that will decimate their population..

That is a won-win for the repubes, since those places will then we "ripe for the pickins" ... all those great natural resources and a depopulated society..

AIDS strikes at the "working age/reproductive" population, so there will be a generation of missing people...and lots of uneducated children to exploit..and to convert to christianity..

A fundie's wet dream

3. You Forget
The Nazi's were big on "family planning" too. Just because someone endorses family planning dosen't make them any less of an extremist.

6. Best remark on family planning I have ever hear.
The young better wake up soon on this or they will be re-fighting the same old fights we women did in the 60's on this.Once some white haired white man tells them how to live their life they will wake up.
