What brain dead idiot decided to release those photos
Pretty powerful images. They will do one of two things when people see them, inflame rage or invoke horror. Neither one is good things to be invoking in people around the world and expecially in Iraq and the Mid East.

9. You are right
This is not the late 1800s and this is not the old west. Pictures of the dead are no longer appropriate. Kind of hard to sell to the Iraqis that we came in peace and friendship, when we show them pictures of their people in pieces.

5. children watch tv also
I guess 'they' the conservatives want to protect their children from nudity and sex and liberal ways, but is somehow alright to show murdered brown people for all to see.

PS: DNA?

but I doubt we can take all the credit/blame for it.

16. We simply shouldn't have invaded Iraq in the first place
Many Iraqis weren't believing Bush (he's not known for his honesty), so they had to release the photos, but at the same time those photos gives Americans a peek into the gruesome war that we are in.

Unfortunately, I think things are going to get more gruesome with these sociopaths in power.

14. Those photos aren't for you.
They're to convince / assure the Iraqi people that the two mass murdering thugs that have oppressed them for so long are dead- and that now the people may feel a little safer, i.e. not have to worry about being raped, tortured and murdered or that these guys will ever rise back to power.

Duh.

15. How noble of us
Care to guesstimate the number of civilians we killed in GWI, GWII and the twelve years of sanctions when they couldn't get food or medicine. And then compare it to the Saddam atrocities?

And those pics, don't you imagine getting a lot of Shrub supporters all hot and bothered for the upcoming deer season...laying them out like trophies?

http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:OE96SzlcBqMC:

It's sick and disgusting and this country is now officially crazed. Apparently too impatient for war crimes tribunals...but of course the question is: who do you put on trial along with the Hussein boys, Rumfilled, Cheney, Smirk, Wolfowitz, Powell, Kristol, and Perle?

18. So they will simply be raped or murdered by the street thugs
The US has allowed to run free. They also have the new risk of being gunned down, in the streets. I hope that "duh" was one of sarcasism and not indicative of your IQ.

genius in that decision. See here, the bushco has a personal thang with the Saddams - a vendetta, you see? bushco scored, and we are their territory, so we are supposed to dance in the streets now...

24. I watch news programs from the Middle East on World Link TV and

can verify that bodies of victims of war and associated violence are shown on television in that region.

On an Iraqi news program last night, Iraqis interviewed were saying they wanted to see the bodies of Usay and Quday on television. Some also said they were sorry/ angry that the Hussein brothers hadn't been captured alive so they could be made to suffer. One man said he had hoped to see them in small cages in the zoo. It was suggested that Saddam should be taken alive.

How else to prove they're dead?

I agree with the "duh". It's not like the Iraqis are gonna believe a DNA test, they probably don't even know what that is.

Or dental records? give me a break.

But I wonder if the Iraqi people have heard of PHOTOSHOP.
