Bernard Goldberg on The Daily Show
Anyone see it? Pretty funny. Goldberg is such a swine. First thing he said upon sitting down -- no doubt sensing a "hostile environment" -- was "This is the most attractive audience I've ever seen." What a tool.

Stewart kept him in his place though, continually saying that the problem with the media has less to do with political bias and more to do with prioritizing crap.

1. Liked when Jon said "If the Liberal Media is so powerful...
...then why do the Republicans control the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government?"

Goldberg dodged and ran from that statement of fact and tried to change the subject back to his perception that the mythical Liberal Media is marching us to hell in a handbasket - and not Bush & Co.

2. Why did Jon even have him on?
I don't get it. What a waste of precious "liberal" airtime! He wasn't going to sway off course from summing up his book...not one joke...not one laugh at any of Jon's jokes. He seemed to be familiar enough with Jon's show, you'd think he would have lightened up a little bit.

He must be desperate since he can't get on any of the major "elite" network shows. Seems to me anyone who throws around the "elite" label (be it media, academia, etc.) is just bitter because they somehow feel excluded.

And I was floored that he brought up Al Franken and Michael Moore as guys he can't stand (or something like that) and said that at least Jon was "fun" - excuse me, Al and Michael are hilarious and that's why I love them so much!

3. Yeah
Goldberg is always in propagandizing mode. He uses that same bubble analogy verbatim ("you can go a week, a month, a year, your whole life without ever meeting someone with a different point of view") every time I see him.

Never stray from the script.

I know, no great shock, there. But after the smackdown Franken laid on him on "Donahue", I thought that Bernie would wise up...apparently the lure of all that RW filthy lucre is too much.

I haven't read it, but I would bet that "Arrogance" (his latest screed against that ol' debbil lib'rul media) is as replete with Media Research Center lies as his last piece of shit, "Bias"

My favorite part of his TDS interview was when he whined that he wouldn't be invited on any network shows to discuss his book. Gee, Bernie, you've now used two books to air-raid signal this hard-on you have for Dan Rather and you wonder why he won't give you the time of day? I've seen wharf rats with more dignity than this sleaze.

8. he was a shitty reporter.
repeatedly passed over by people with -- surprise, suprise -- talent. He was handed most of the shit in his stupid book and was minimally familiar with some of it when challenged.

why anybody would give this fucking load the time of day is beyond me.
yet he remains a fucking hero to the right-wing media, especially the also-ran talk radio dimwits -- Medved, Praeger, Gallagher.

9. Bernie is chicken***t to be anywhere near Moore or esp Franken
Franken has his number totally and he knows it thats why hes talking smack with them not around. He had alot of nerve to say hes a " Classic Lib" a overplayed ploy from the rightwingers to seem unbiased like Matthews and O'Rilley say they are..( Yeah right)..I HOPE TO GOD that while permoteing his book on Crossfire or something that Franken is on too..But Im sure Goldbergs mug will be on every one of Fox's shows just so he knows they wont let Franken near the Fox studios..
On a side note i find it too funny that Fox news is scared of Al Franken..Just shows that if you stand up to a bully you show what a chicken they really are
