you guys will not BELIEVE this! UNBELIEVABLE
Edited on Thu Jul-24-03 10:44 AM by newsguyatl
just got word here at work that rumsfeld is going to hold a pentagon briefing at 2p today... originally held for 12:30p today, just changed it

why is this relevant? because the House-Senate committee is also having a 2p presser on the 9-11 report!!!

pentagon is doing this so the 9-11 presser won't get air! they knew all the networks were gonna cover the 9-11 report briefing... but now with the death pics release, pentagon knows they'll get air!

unFUCKINGbelievable, the audacity of these people!

11. ...and Bushco is going to fight for the right to control the media...

excerpt...

Bush Fights Congress on TV Cap Roll Back

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House said on Thursday it would fight in Congress to strip out language in a bill that would prevent television broadcasters from owning local stations that collectively reach more than 35 percent of the national audience.

The Republican-controlled Federal Communications Commission (news - web sites) on June 2 voted to raise that cap to 45 percent, but the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday approved an annual spending measure that included a provision rolling it back to 35 percent.

The Bush administration said it would try to strip out the provision when House and Senate leaders negotiate the final version of the spending bill. But there is also bipartisan support for the lower limit in the Senate.

2. I believe it..
They have no shame and hold the media whores in their hand. I was thinking as I watched leon shit-for-brains on cnn, ooh and ahhh over the dead bodies that we won't hear a word the rest of the day about 9/11.

17. I agree, the 9-11 presser should do a last minute "delay"
like at 1:58pm announce, a postponement till 2:30 or 3pm. Rumsfield can't talk forever, uh er

Edited on Thu Jul-24-03 10:42 AM by w4rma
by alternating between them and/or split screening at times.

7. Anyone who
doesnt believe that the world is a stage, has not met these American actors yet.

Friggin typical. Rumsfeld always reminded me of this elder in my old church, back when I went, that used to chastise all us girls for being boy crazy, smoking, etc..he tattled on several of us....

He was eventually removed from his position for molestation. Didnt serve any time though, dammit. If ONLY it could happen to this old fart. He can run, but he cant hide!

According to Bob Graham, all the most damning and relevant stuff in the report has been censored from the public.

15. That the pentagon can't heed
to a report which means a lot to so many people is disrespectful and an indication that they aren't interested in serving the American people, only themselves and a covering of their own guilt.

31. I agree
Only the hardcore political junkies watch this stuff live. If Rummy says nothing new, which seems to be the case, the news tonight will focus on the new information...

the new information on Private Lynch and Kobe Bryant, of course.

9/11 report? What 9/11 report?
