The one that's labeled Qusay looks just a little bit like Uday, but neither of them look like Qusay, and I don't know who that one labled Uday is.

I am quite used to looking at the same people with and without beards, but there really isn't that much of a resemblance here.

It *could* be them, but then again, lots of things 'could be'. I don't think these are convincing photos.

the picks of Qusay appear like the regular pictures (pre death) of Uday. Not sure that the picks that are reported for Uday look like either.

Sad that we have come to be so skeptical of everything said. But after the cooked evidence to go to war that was touted as solid PROOF; after the staged Jessica Lynch incident and the staged pulling down of Saddam's statue incident were documented it is just hard to take anything at face value from this government. They have proven themselves again and again to go far beyond stretching the truth to wholesale reconstructing reality.

This indeed could be the brothers. I am just commenting on the high level of skepticism that many of us seem to share. I wonder how many folks who haven't paid close, close attention for the past four months - but when the above stories were repeated enough times that the MO of this administration has penetrated the public's psyche - how many are also voicing skepticism - when before they would accept immediately as fact?

Obviously these poor photos are not going to convince anyone and will call for(maybe prepare a demand) for worked over corpses, which may be a main reason they were flown out. Considering our lousy credibility they might as well have photoshopped it. LOTS of questions about the heavy handed or blind assault and everything.

The "convincing" issue seems insidious on its own face. What kind of lie will people buy? The press is not smart enough or impolite to wonder about third party confirmation. The photos is ugly and heavy handed shock treatment with no more validity than the credibility of the issuers. Is that John Dilinger?

Why would it be beneficial for the administration to fake these deaths? Wouldn't it be utterly stupid considering how embarassing it would be for the United States if these two brothers just showed up in a few days on ALJazeera or Abu Dhabi TV after America claimed to have killed them?

Bodies, especially bullet ridden and mangled ones, tend not to look exactly the way they have looked when alive.

I have now seen better quality photos and to me they bear a strong resemblance to the brothers. The fact that Uday's head looks too fat MAY be related to the fact that he put a bullet into it by his own hand.

Furthermore, the news reports that dental records indicate a 90% and a 100% match for the two.

I'm sorry, but WISHING and HOPING that these guys are planted just makes you look foolish. If it's NOT them by some US fiat, it will come out, and the US would be STUPID for publishing photos of bodies they knew were not the sons.
