By recalling Davis, is recalling Bush fair game then?

If California Repukes care so much about California’s debt and economy, why aren’t they equally up in arms about the NATIONAL debt and economy?

Can we recall Bush for running the nation’s debt and economy into the ground?

First the 2000 election fiasco now this stupid recall, Davis won the election,
get over it.

Are the courts going to decide our representatives from now on?

This country is really becoming a joke.

Sorry, needed to vent.

11. Sometimes democrats ARE to blame.
That's just reality.

I am really hoping that a BETTER democrat gets on that ballot. That dem would stand an EXCELLENT chance of winning.

Davis WILL NOT win re-election.

2. Ummm...where in the Constitution....
do you find recall provisions? I'm not "up to speed" on California's state constitution, but I'm POSITIVE that there's no recall provision in the Federal Constitution...Impeachment, yes, recall, no.

5. "Initiative, Referendum, Recall"
were part of the Populist Party agenda in the latter part of the 19th Century. Others included Unicameral Legislature, Direct Election of Senators, and even Universal Suffrage. To one degree or other, these were incorporated into the Constitutions of the western states, including California.

But don't look to our federal Constitution for any help there. It was framed mainly by Federalists who were almost obsessed with keeping the Swinish Multitude in check. Later Amendments and judicial interpretations helped make it a little more democratic. But you're right ... it's NOT in our Federal Constitution. But with a little luck, that Drug-Store Cowboy may yet leave the Presidency the same way he entered it ... and by a 5-4 vote. ("To spend more Quality Time at the Crawford Dude Ranch, with his beloved Golf-Carts").

Still, Dems should be hammering

this double standard every chance they get.

If Davis should be recalled for the debt and bad California economy, what
do Republicans suggest we do with Bush who tanked the national economy increased the national debt and unemployment?

8. LOL
Had the same thought, though it is difficult to get the point across when Democratic spokespeople are drumming up sympathy for smirk's "mistakes" instead.
