NAFTA, GATT, drug war, Sudan bombing, Monica, ect, ect.

10. Press: Clinton is WRONG!
RNC: Clinton is RIGHT!

There's gotta be something about this in one of those Left Behind books.

9. And let's not forget
Don't ask, don't tell. AND, even more egregious, the Defense of Marriage Act!

Sorry, I realize that Clinton was a great leader for the Democrats in his time, but we need to stop diefying him.

13. Does that mean "move on"...
...to the next time we're lied to and intimidated into war?

If we don't take care of this now HARD then we risk being led over and over again into conquest. Some people (PNAC and it's spinoff the Office of Special Plans) need to learn you do NOT fuck with us that way.

14. Cat, saw CNN ticker about an hour ago.......
...and it said that "some" Democrats were calling Clinton "wrong" (after his remarks). I don't blame them. We finally made some progress and our comes Bill's dick to piss all over them........and it is not the first time, by far. He's done this numerous times when heat was getting on Bush. No wonder the other Dems just pulled back and hid. I can't be kind to him any longer and as I said in another thread: I think he wants a Dem defeat now in '04 to set things up for Hil (who won't win anyway 'cause she's too controversial) and I worry that his handpicked buddy, Terry, is running the DNC. When the Repukes keep playing this message over and over today (as has been reported here), it sure as fuck is not a "good thing" for Dems. ...and the rift he is now going to start among Dems is just the scenerio the WH has been praying for. Goddamn him.

16. Um, Hillary supports the Nigergate investigation
And the Dems aren't backing down at all. Besides, doesn't this story compete with Saddam's sons' killings? Rove can't like that. Plus, this story reminds the public that Nigergate is not going away.

22. I could be wrong
but I don't see the GOP relying on Bill Clinton to state their case as a good thing for them. And as I said in other posts, I've seen no evidence whatsoever that Dems are backing down, which is very good news. They can simply say they disagree with him and continue asking the tough questions. No big deal.

27. Exactly
I felt sad when I heard Clinton's remarks last night. This is the first review I have read of what other Dems said.

I have posted many times on this site that Clinton is orchestrating a lot of subtle maneuvers to set Hillary up for 2008. He's covering her flank because she's caught some heat for backing up Bush* on the war and other hot issues.

I truly believe he helped knock Gore out of the running through his influence with the DLC to set up a Dem loss in 2004. I believe that is why he is backing Edwards, because Edwards will lose to Bush*. Clinton knows that. Gore stood the best chance of winning against Bush, and obviously Hillary could not have run against an incumbent Gore and taken it.

31. I will NEVER vote for Hillary
and I will never be upset again if the repukes and their army of hate radio nuts want to blame them for everything. I always wondered why Bill wouldn't at least set the record straight whenever he's blamed for the bad economy and all the other stuff. I guess that's his role within the cabal.

I used to love Hillary, but pushing Gore out (and I concur with your possible scenario) makes me really angry. We won't have much of a country left in 2008, but I guess they don't care about that as long as they are on top of the food chain.

20. Bill's ability to see the BIG picture
I'm not saying he's right. But don't be too quick to write off the Big Dog's political sexth sense. Maybe he senses that this issue is ultimately going to blow up in the Dems faces.

Personally, I don't see it. I think this is one time (FINALLY) that the Boy King has "stepped in it and slid" and we've finally got an issue that can resonate with the Sleeping Public.

I don't know what Bill's reason was for saying it. But I'm sure he has one.

25. Someone I respect wrote that his comments were similar to Tenet
sticking a "shiv" in Bush while appearing to be falling on his sword.
She wrote, and I agree, that if he had come at Bush with both barrels he would have been the issue and he would have taken the focus away from Bush, Rove would have loved that move. This way people like Press have the cover they need to keep after Bush regarding this issue. Big game, wish everything could be honest and upfront but not with this crew.

29. i agree zidzi
i mean, even if we knew IN ADVANCE that this issue would backfire on the democrats (tho i don't foresee that happening) the point is: what bush did was WRONG WRONG WRONG... so for clinton to say basically to 'move on' is just excusing bush's lying...

foresight or not, at the very least, clinton should have just not said ANYTHING

30. I just want to get this straight....
Is this the week Bill Press is a hero? Last week he was a ninny like Alan Colmes. Man it's hard to keep up with whatever direction the wind is blowing this week.

Just like Tweety. Now he's a hero to some on this board. Last month he was about as appealing to some here as Ken Starr in a thong.
