Call their bluff
death of Saddam's two sons, though quite possibly true, needs more verification than just a Pentagon spokesperson

this administration lies incessantly to achieve its political goals

this story just doesn't ring true

1. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it
So what if American forces murdered two sons of the former dictator of Iraq....what the fuck did they ever do to Americans?

Let it sink.

Nobody who is thinking gives a rats ass. Those who like to run around killing people who haven't threatened them won't be voting Dem anyway

4. LOL
First time someone has caught that!

I was reading a great biography of Napolean when I signed up on this site and enjoyed the Jacobin's attitude toward the monarchists/papists.

Reminds me that the struggle against the church/state thing is never ever over and needs to be constantly fought.

If you give the Soothsayers and inch.....

I suppose I am a Francophile, although I'm something of an Anglophile as well (i know i know, you can't do that)

3. Is America now safer IF they dead?
Ask the question: What does the death of these 2 do to make America safer from al Qaeda?

5. Nor does it
restore electricity, clean water, jobs, social order, freedom or independence to Iraq! These are the problems.

8. You missed the excuse/explanation.
American troops in Iraq are now safer because the Hussein brothers were behind the attacks on American troops. (I heard it on television, but don't remember who said it. Probably Ch. 7 ABC.)

6. If it is faked... it will haunt these guys... because sometime
in the next month or two one of them would undoubtedly show up in another country - again compromising the integrity/veracity of the US (that is - if there is any credibility left for the US in the international community).
