Should Senator John D. Rockefeller think about running for president?
Edited on Tue Jul-22-03 06:26 PM by NNN0LHI
He has the money. He has the name recognition. He has the respect of the media. He don't back down. He has the gift of the gab. He doesn't say stupid shit...ever. He seems to have everything. He even looks presidential. Any bad stuff about this guy? How did he vote on the invasion? What do you think?

Don

1. Until this past year or so, I always thought
he was wishy-washy.

Think he has hit his stride and is living up to his potential!!

Not for President, but we oughta look and see for the cabinet, ambassador,...?

2. He doesn't have to run for president.
For the love of God, folks, this is John J. Rockefeller IV here. He OWNS this country. He just sits in the Senate to look out for his family's interests.

You've never heard him say anything of substance before because he never needed to. His is the voice of power. When Rockefeller speaks, God listens.

6. I used to work at
National Airport in Washington DC, and saw quite a few politicians over the years. Jay Rockefeller, then gov of WVa, was by far the nicest one ever. Didn't expect me to know who he was, and didn't send some flunky to handle a complication with his tickets, but came to the ticket counter himself, explained the changes needed, and then I redid the ticket as needed. I'd vote for him in an instant.

8. I worked for Mr Rockefeller in 1967!
He and his wife both are friendly nice people! As a West Virginian I'll have to say Rockefeller has done a pretty fair job for this state! Jay is a big Mountaineer football fan! A lot of people in this state like Jay almost as much as Robert Byrd! Jay has brought in a lot of good jobs to WV from overseas! I think Jay turned out pretty good to have come from a Repub family! Jay votes with big business a lot, but overall the unions always back him! I like him and think he will run for president one day!

9. Well
He's 67, so if he doesn't run this time, it is improbable he'd ever run in the future.

He's been a tireless advocate of medical care/insurance for everybody, for his entire career. I admire that.

10. America needs INSPIRATION
Our people need to be reminded of the IDEALS for which America stands. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, equal justice for ALL (whether they are citizens or NOT).

It is my heartfelt desire that someone strong, someone inspiring, someone who can light a fire under the people of this Great Nation, will step up and TAKE the Democratic Nomination, and show the people what the POWER OF IDEAS can do.

A name like Rockefeller, or GORE, could remind America of her greater purpose. If someone wants to take this nomination, and make it a nomination FOR THE PEOPLE, then, by GOD, TAKE IT.
