Poll question: Which Capitol Hill Romance would make a good soap opera?
If a romance novelist were to write a book about a bizzare political relationship on the Hill, who would you pair up with and why?

Which one of these relationships would really hit it off?

Which ones could make a good romance novel? And who would be the "other woman/man?"

9. What about
Trent Lott and Sheila Jackson-Lee?

"Oh Sheila, I've never had this feeling before--- I've always thought blacks were inferior. But I was wrong! I was ohh so wrong, 'cause when I see you walking down the hallway, I get a case of jungle fever no doctor could cure! Oh, hold me in your arms, chocolate goddess!"

10. You left out Nicholas Longworth and unnamed mistress
I was reading some stuff about that guy. He was married to Teddy Roosevelt's daughter (Alice) and was the republican majority leader of the House in the 20's and up to like 1936.

Man, that guy was a horn-dog !
He actually had a daughter by some other un-named woman that he would bring to the Congress in the 20's when she was a little girl so the Republican caucus could sing happy birthday to her.

11. And Warren Harding
Ol' Warren fathered a child by his mistress (the child was apparently conceived in Harding's Senate office building), and continued to "see" her in the White House. Apparently he made love to her in a White House closet...

W, but I didn't see it as a choice. I don't think that Laura was as impressed with W in the flight suit as Tweety was. Ick.
