Why are Republicans so moranic?
I'm hearing crap like "Zell Miller is a JFK Democrat, no wonder he prefers Bush to Kucinich." or "Bush is like a Democrat of 20 years ago." (To which someone responsed "Like Mondale or Dukakis? lol")

1. Jesus
Where are you hearing this slop? Zell needs to be removed from the party. Says he's gonna vote for Bush. Thanks for the revelation Zell. No big surprise!

BTW, your thread title almost made me spit orange kool-aid on my screen. Yup, right thru my nose!

2. Brains are really hard to come by on the repuke side and when one
does appear, all the others latch on to it and suck it dry.

3. JFK Democrat?
Right era, wrong politician.

Miller's a Goldwater Democrat, which is of course a contradiction in terms. A Goldwater Democrat is a bit like a cat/dog hybrid; the only humane thing to do is put it to sleep.

4. That's mean...
Goldwater wasn't a neoconservative fundamentalist bigot.

10. Wow a really great dig at Hillary but why?
Why the slur on Hillary? It is something a Freeper would do. Granted Hillary started out as a Republican. She makes no bones about it. She realized the error of her ways and changed for the better. Why are you trying to rub her past in her face? What good are you trying to accomplish? Do yopu think people here don't know anything about Hillary? Are you here trying to cause turmoil? That is known as disrupting and most disrupters get tombstoned rather quickly. Is that your desire?

9. Morons? Never underestimate the opposition.
In my posts I cal the Republicans "Reps". This is part of a self discipline, to avoid underestimating them. If we call them morons, stupid, etc, we naturally think of ourselves as "brighter" than they are. When you underestimate the opposition, you are inviting youself to get clobbered.

I was once a long haul truck driver for a few years. I did that beacause I wanted to see all of my own country. I was (And still am.) also an excellent poker player. (In fact at one time, for a few years, poker was my only income.) In a casino you don't play poker against the house, you play against the other players, and the house takes $3.00 out of the pot for thier service in hosting the game. I would often stop at a casino and play poker for a few hours, and I ALWAYS MADE SURE THAT EVERBODY AT THE TABLE KNEW I WAS A TRUCKER. They would then prejudge me by underestimating my poker ability.

The point in is: Anytime you have an opponent, don't be so cocky that you underestimate them.

They aren't morons. They aren't stupid. And if you think they are, they will kick your butt. They are the majority party now, (Whether we like it or not.) and they didn't get that way by being morons.

11. Good point, Silverhair
I think we all have our moments of frustration and scream the word, "Moron!" at Republicans. However, your point is well taken. If we underestimate them, then we will get stomped.

I think there are unintelligent bozos in all ideologies, but for the most part, I think that most Republicans don't critically analyze their world the way we do. The danger is in their wrong-headed view of the world, not in their lack of intelligence.

12. I agree but it is hard not to criticize when reading some of their words
They would not be where they are if they were stupid. Same goes for Bush*. We underestimate them/him at our peril. They do come up with some stupid shit though.
