2. That's why CNN stands for ...
"Contains No News"

MSNBC had a very similar poll. The results were totally opposite of CNN.

3. Hmmm
Makes me more scared to fly in a box, that's for sure. But a plane? No. I figure I have a 50 50 chance every time I step into one, terrorism or no.

7. Um is it a DU position to be afraid?
I am not even the slightest bit scared by the finding of box cutters. In fact for a large part I think the whole hype over box cutters and pocket knifes is a joke.

The reason those guys pulled what they did off with what they did had nothing to do with them having box cutters. It was because it was the first time it had been done . They told the passengers they were being held hostage and if they cooperated no one would be hurt blah blah blah.

People never expected for a second they would be flown into a building. It was just unthinkable before that day. As soon as people realized that was the iontent they acted this is why the plane went down in Pensylvania.

I think that if today a group of terrorists tried to take over a plane with box cutters they would get a much different reaction from the passengers. Hell look at the guy with the shoe and how the passengers beat the hell out of that guy.

So no box cutters dont scare me even a little. Keep the guns from getting on the plane and I am satisfied. When someone sneaks a gun on then I will be worried.

8. I agree.
Not scared of little old ladies with knitting needles either.

Not scared of swarthy-colored passengers or teenagers with mohawks.

I have fear when it is needed for the fight or flight response, and not one minute before. My system just can't handle constant fear.

And I would be much more afraid to attack a passenger with a gun in his hand. Boxcutter? Since Sept 11? Any person stupid enough to wield any object on a plane in a threatening manner must have the wish to be beaten senseless by half the passengers.

9. I would have to say no.
But of course, I don't plan to fly anytime in the near future, anyway.

11. I knew military pilots back in the 1980's
that discussed airplanes being flown into buildings. They would sit around, drinking beer, and ask each other if they'd be able to shoot down a commercial jet that had been hijacked and told it was headed to a large city's downtown area.

Finding the box cutters means nothing to me.
