Falwell & California Fires
I don't think there should be any mystery as to the source of any of these fires that are devastating California.

I would like to inquire of Dr. Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, and the other Super-Christians if they believe, using their very own line of spiritual thinking, if God is simply manifesting His wrath on the people of California for their stupidity in recalling David and electing Aunold?

10. I noticed that myself...
You also got to like that people are starting to blame this all on "environmentalists."

4. the fires have been on "epic" and "catastrophic" proportions
occurring on the eve of an action figure/super-hero's ascent (will he 'play' a dictator?) to come to the rescue of fleeing refugees with no homes or jobs ... shoring up the base or losing it?

6. It's just a preview of the "Lake of Fire"
....that everybody except Jerry, Pat and their friends are going to spend eternity.

7. Maybe a little ancient wisdom...
from Voltaire's Poem on the Lisbon Disaster (1756)

...
Did fallen Lisbon deeper drink of vice
Than London, Paris, or sunlit Madrid?
In these men dance; at Lisbon yawns the abyss.
Tranquil spectators of your brothers’ wreck,
Unmoved by this repellent dance of death,
Who calmly seek the reason of such storms,
Let them but lash your own security;
Your tears will mingle freely with the flood.

Voltaire's response to the reaction of the Pope in blaming the earthquake of Lisbon on 'sin'.
The best part though was the people of Lisbon were so outraged at the lack of spiritual support (Lisbon perhaps being one of the most pious cities in Europe at the time) caused a rift that to this day never heeled..

Falwell and his ilk should think twice about their edicts and judgements...

12. The fires
are happening because of people are not taking care of the land as they should. I don't see that God had anything to do with this...I haven't heard Jerry F. say anything yet either...but hey, I don't get out much.

13. Falwell hasn't recieved the memo...
that instructs him to spin the terrosist angle on the fires. Seems that the fat cats have found that if they can prove terrorists started the fires the can involk the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002 and save the insurance companies a huge bundle of cash. It's all about money, right? Yes, it's always about money, someone else's money.

14. I noticed that.
All the areas burning are the ones where people voted yes on the recall and then Arnold for governor, but I think it has more to to about rich Republicans owning property in places that are prone to fires. Poor people, who vote as Democrats, live in rentals on the flatlands.

15. Thesed are also the same people that...
screamed about property taxes! Therefore, if there was more $ in the coffers a few years ago, there might well have been a push to clean up some of that scrub. Or at least enough to ensure that Firefighting equipment was better and more up to date.

But alas, there will be no $ for Cal, they want everything, but don't want to pay for it. Typical repug mindset, "let the masses pay for my protection, I care not to be bothered with the small points of existence".

:nopity: for the repug bastards that lose because of their own ignorance; but a  for those that see the light and act.
