Can someone answer this question?
I have heard this Administration brag about all the hospitals and schools in Iraq now being open. But I have read elsewhere that no hospitals ever closed ?? Not even during the height of the war...So what is the truth about this? How did we "open" all the hospitals that were already "open"? Is this similar to Bremer's comment about how we now had electricity up to the pre-war levels? What type of progress are we looking at?

1. It is the same kind of "progress" they have made regarding schools...
saying they have opened 1500 schools when Iraq used to have 10,000. Amazing doublespeak.

2. This is an example of
the administration telling the "truth" but only those who pay attention would know that they had really nothing to do with it.

3. Kinda reminds me of the story...
about the guy who was carrying a loaded shotgun, while strolling down Broadway in Manhattan. A cop stopped and asked him "what are you doing with that thing?". The guy replied "I'm keeping the city safe from tigers and bears."

"There's no tigers or bears around here" the cop shot back. "Well then, I must be doing a great job aren't I? said the guy.

(this is a joke, as far as I know this never really happened)
