Michael Reagan...
Isn't he Ron & Nancy's adopted son? Does anyone know how he gets along with Patty & Ron Jr.?

1. Michael Reagan
I think he is the adopted son of Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman. I've heard him say he gets along well with his brother and sister, but was closer to Maureen Reagan, as they were closer in age and raised by Jane Wyman.

5. There's some circulating story of his Dad not knowing his/voice or name
"This is Michael. Your SON Michael."

And this was years ago.

9. I've heard that story
Reagan was speaking at a high school commencement. Ronnie went around, shaking everyone's hand, saying "I'm Ronald Reagan. Who are you?" Y'know, standard politician stuff.

Well, when he got to Michael, rather than saying "Hi Mike," or "Hi son," or showing some sign of recognition--- he said, "I'm Ronald Reagan. Who are you?"

The answer came back, "I'm your son, Michael." To which Reagan responded, "Oh," or something like that.

This was in the 60s, so I doubt it can be credited to Alzheimer's. Fatigue, perhaps...

10. And the guy gets famous only because of his last name.
He has zilch talent at the job.

It must suck to be him.

7. He certainly is an advertisement for adoption
I don't know if he even knows who his mom is or was, but she certainly gave him quite a gift of life by choosing adoption. I'm sure he's glad she did.

8. In Patty Davis' book
she says she didn't even know about this other brother until one day he showed up to stay with them. Nancy was always jealous of the family that Ronnie had before he married her, typical of her coldness that she didn't even tell her children they had another brother until she was forced too, sad. :-(
