I read this and couldn't for the life of me figure out how any of these save anyone. Some of them simply make no sense.

and he oughta know, because as much as it pains me to admit this, Savage Weiner actually lived here :puke: , as a botany student at UH. In fact, it was from here that he famously corresponded with Allen Ginsberg.

Ka 'olelo Hawai'i, the Hawaiian language, has been an official language, alongside English, in Hawai'i since 1978. We actually go further than bilingual education; we have Hawaiian immersion programs here. We actually had to develop standardized tests in Hawaiian because of Bush*'s "No Affluent White Suburban Child Left Behind" act!

But then again, it's not really Hawaiian that Savage Weiner objects to, is it? I think we all know just what language he detests, ?creo que no?

Does this mean no more foreign language taught in America? Or is this just about teachers speaking Spanish when teaching new immigrants from south of the border? Is America supposed to be English only even though our "English" is a mixture of many different languages.
