Edited on Fri Oct-24-03 11:27 AM by bluefire2000
We believe George W. Bush is a merciful gift from the Lord to an undeserving people. We ask you to join us in constant prayer for our President, his family, his administration, and his country.

This makes my skin crawl. I just had to post it and share my pain. I'm not against prayer per se, but this is so, bleaaaah! Creepy!!!

2. Chilling
...The enemy's stronghold is now with the media. Pray fervently for them, for if they repent and return to Me, the nation shall soon follow and revival shall sweep the land. That is My plan. The enemy's hold there is firm and longstanding. It shall be broken only through much prayer and fasting, but if you persist with diligence it shall be broken. Then shall the laws that allow unborn children to be murdered be overturned. Then shall prayer be returned to the schools. Then shall homosexuality be called "sin" by the nation, and then shall My plans for this nation be fulfilled, for she shall shine as My light in the world...

How about a little prayer for unity and love for our enemies??
What does it tell you when their 'god' functions as one with gw?

They will have plenty of old-timey fun then, eh?

Sometime during the reign of Emperor Jeb, I believe, this will begin (slowly and more subtly than originally).

A couple more Bushevik purges of law-enforcement and the WWII Generation dying off (the last people who lived their lives primarily under the Old Republic -- the Baby Boomers don't count -- it is clear that, collectively, there is much support for Empire and an end to this voting nonsense -- as well as incapability of dscerning between propaganda and reality) should be all it takes.

That is: If these trends remain unaltered by the future! NEVER GIVE UP!

20. Yes and no
The most self righteous hatemongers among the fundamentalists thrive as victims-i.e. when they are not winning. When they get what they want, they want more, or else they are being "persecuted." Right now, as the nation moves ever closer to fascism, many of these hateful fundamentalists are still playing this vicitm role. They are not going to rest until every homo is back in the closet or hanged, every public school PA system is used for coerced prayer, every woman of childbearing age is barefoot and pregnant, and every history textbook is a lying propeganda piece for manifest destiny. Anything short of this is "persecution."

It truly is a weight on my soul how Christians who truly try to follow Christ's teachings are forced to tolerate these people as bearers of the Christian message.

54. Why are you tolerating them? I can't understand why those of you who are
Christians are not throwing these people out of Christianity. Why are you not raging against their hate and unChrist-like behavior. Why are your preachers and leaders mute? Why are you letting these hate-filled, ignorant people hi-jack Christianity? These are the Pharisees Jesus railed against. Expose them over and over again for the hatemongers and bigots they are.

7. Read the "Prophecy on the Nation" - literally demonizing the Clintons
" There shall be victories followed by what seem to be setbacks (attacks and counterattacks). Celebrate the victories, but after them increase your prayer efforts, for the enemy's counterattack shall attempt to steal away the victory. He shall use the voice of deception in an attempt to tarnish the image of the president and discredit him. He shall continue to speak through the voice of the former president, who shall remain in the forefront. Cry out that the lies be exposed and that the eyes of the American people be opened to see the truth.  The former first lady shall be a key player, for her desire is to rise to power.  They have been given a foothold and would surely lead the nation to ruin were this election not wrested from their clan.  Pray for them.  There is yet time for them to repent and turn to Me, but their hearts have been gripped by greed and lust and power. Many are those who worship the former first family and have allowed themselves to be deceived by them.  Pray that the lies be exposed.  Surely shall their fall be great, as is that of each who ascends to power through the works of the evil one.  When it occurs do not rejoice, but weep for them as do I over each lost child who strays from Me, for it pains Me to see the suffering they bring upon themselves because of their hardened hearts.  Do not cry out for judgment, but rather for mercy, for surely were you, too, once lost and dead in sin. "

I worry that some nut is going to try to harm them the way that the religious fanatics always connect them to evil and Satan and so on.

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets (aka WEBSITES), that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. "

As a person with perosnal spiritual beliefs, sometimes I just want to throw my monitor across the room when I see stuff like this.

I loved/hated this part: Like King David, he is not perfect, but he is repentant, humble, and full of the mighty courage that results from trusting the Lord

Wow. Just wow. Humble? When has Bush ever demonstrated even the tiniest shred of humility? Repentant? I guess if you define repentant as fanatically holding to lies even after they are proven to be lies, then ok. Courage? Wow...

It is the holier than thou attitude that really cheeses me off. They are so much more moral than everyone else that they can pontificate on your foibles all day and then turn around and save you through prayer. Of course the second that you point out their flaws they respond with that "Not perfect, just saved" bullshit. They can be the biggest A-holes 24 hours a day because they know they are going to heaven because they are "SAVED". It never ceases to royally piss me off.

35. Don't worry
they may believe it, but it isn't true. My guru says that a godly person is more tolerant than a tree and more humble than the grass. And that's pretty humble. A truly saved person is perfect. If they're not perfect, then they're a regular, un-saved person, just stumbling their way through life, like the rest of us.

40. make sure your prayer has that pseudo-
biblical-sounding language, and use the word 'shall' a lot, "May Your might smote the imposter in the White House and bringeth strength to those who stand against GW; So that Your will shall cleanse our Nation of he who bring hate upon it."

Cuz, you know, translations into 16C. English carry more weight.
