CNN--Sen Richard Shelby (R): "George Tenet should walk the plank"
The rescue mission has arrived. Operation Scapegoat.

I guess they didn't like what George had to say about the pressure the WH put on him to speak the party line. Methinks George T. will have more and more to say about Dick N Dubya from here on out.

10. CIA may get even...
The CIA/FBI etc. do what they do thinking it helps the country, they may not continue to allow the careers of their own be destroyed to save some politician's job. If the CIA/FBI gets really pissed they may even start leaking information that showed the bush team knew about 9/11 as well. The rith wing is treading on thin ice, pushing these people to their limits...

5. George Tenet is just one of a string of people who have

fallen on their sword to save face for The Emperor. There is ample
evidence that Tenet is blameless. The cumulative effect of Bush's
transgressions, along with his coterie of sycophants, is rapidly
and thankfully, approaching critical mass.

7. Ahrrrrrr! Keelhaul 'im, matey.
Peghead George, Scourge of the Spanish Main with the little squawky parrot Condi on his shoulder saying "braaak sixteen words, only sixteen words."

Meanwhile, the loyalists down in the brig are picking the locks on their legirons, singing "Sixteen words on a dead man's chest, yo ho ho and a liter of Beam."

Time to give this cap'n the black spot...

12. Found it in the Boston Globe
I think i saw that the Washington Times has it also. This is actually a couple of days old it seems. The Globe story is pretty good.

“Senator Richard C. Shelby, Republican of Alabama and former chairman of the Intelligence Committee, agreed that an investigation should be held but argued that his former committee handled it. Shelby repeated his call for Tenet to resign, arguing that the CIA under his leadership has been a colossal failure.

''There have been more failures of intelligence on the watch of George Tenet than anybody in recent history as director of the CIA,'' Shelby said.”
