Sherman Seeks to Amend Presidential Succession
July 17, 2003
Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) introduced a bill Wednesday to amend the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 to prevent a member of a different political party than the president from ascending to that office if the commander-in-chief were killed.

I think the bill is H.R. 2749, but its text is not yet available.

1. I like it. He's thinking ahead.
If another Democrat is ever allowed to ascend to the Amerikan Imperial Throne, that individual will be in grave danger from moment one.

Not just from the Busheviks themselves (who haven't dared tried to kill a sitting pResident since 1981 and haven't succeeded, perhaps from lack of trying, since 1963) but from all the Propagandized Monsters out there who have been hammered by New and Improved Goebbels v2.0 until they are clinically insane.

The Amerikan Empire is clinically insane, perhapos driven that way with a purpose or just herded in that direction by policy.

To get back to the original topic: Sherman's Bill is a smart one, but is only useful if the Old Republic survives or is restored, depending on what you think of it's condition currently.

In fact, it may have been that "loophole" which drove the Attempted Coup of 1998, get rid of Clinton, then Gore...a Bushevik then becomes pResident.

2. What if the President's an Independent?
Just wondering.

3. I guess....
we would then have to appoint either Bernie Sanders or James Jeffords.

But, seriuosly, folks - you've been a great crowd. Don't forget to tip your waitresses!

5. Having the House Speaker and Senate President pro tem...
in the line of succession seems of questionable constitutionality -- separation of powers and all that.
