5. Why do they even bother to say crap like that?
They really are in a self-contained bubble, isolated from reality. They just throw that shit out there thinking everyone will buy it.

7. Perhaps they don't know the meaning
of "avid" and "buff." Maybe they mistakenly looked up what they wanted in a thesaurus and didn't check that these were antonyms.

20. this has merit, ameuturish catch up for a lifetime of royal pandering....
BUT it's too late to prove useful as a statesman and a leader of the world's second largest Democracy and the supreme imperial nation. The damage the U.S. has done by the neocons is irreversable for my generation, but later administrations can show good faith to the world's people by acknowledging our attrocities and begin making reparations. imo

14. They tried to create an image of a tough guy who doesnt read
a tough hombre that dont read no steenking polls or newspapers. He was too busy saving America from all those terrorists climbing down our chimneys. A John Wayne type that would punch your lights out if you looked at him sideways. The image is fading real fast. The rest of the country is realizing what we knew way back, that this guy is all smoke and mirrors. Nothing he says is as it seems. It all has ulterior motives. Smaller gov means soaking the poor and enriching the rich while bankrupting the country for the next 20 yrs. Its all BS, nothing he says is as he presents it to the people.

NOT a researcher. His failed businesses and his advancement past truely qualified air force candidates for the Texas air nat'l guard, his crap grades at Yale, his failure to listen to the weapons inspectors and the CIA in post 1991 Iraq, shows his handlers have had free reign at swaying Bush to the indefensable position he has on both foreign and domestic policies.
THAT WOULDN'T HAPPEN WITH A SCHOLAR OR A "READER" LIKE CARTER, CLINTON AND other competent technocrats. AND the claim that * is an avid reader doesn't pass the smell test. imo

32. This latest lie by the Bush Crime Team is so easily debunked
it's not even funny.

One of the first things that White House aides learned about their new boss in January 2001 was not he's not an avid reader, so don't prepare any lengthy briefs for him. And he likes to go to bed by 9PM.

Contrast that with President Clinton, who read just about everything he could get his hands on. He even read the galleys of books before they were published and released in book stores.
