Different Groups on DU
I notice a lot of the groups are not utilized much. ie the Music Appreciation group and the Website, DB group - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=288

Why not? Is it the design of the site that prevents people from seeing it

1. Well no wonder why. You have to be a donor to post.

4. News to me.....
No restriction on posting in the forums, but I guess Skinner has enacted a donor only policy for the groups. Surely, a $5 or more membership would be worth it if you want to interact in these groups, though... The search function is worth it to me.

5. too many groups, too little time . . .
I, for one, already spend far too much time on DU just trying to keep up with the General Discussion thread . . . forays to other groups happen only when they are referenced in GD posts . . . I'd love to follow a dozen or more other groups, but just don't have the time to invest . . .

6. Exactly.. I'm in GD and LBN for a couple hours throughout the day
Then following links and watching videos chews up more time. The problem with DU is there is just too much useful information and not enough free hours in the day.
