I'm so sick of hearing how George Bush has had a "bad year."
Having a tree fall on your house is evidence of a bad year. Losing your job through no fault of your own because your company moved it overseas is a bad year. Becoming seriously ill -- that's a bad year.

But this idea that the media keeps putting out that George Bush has simply met a string of bad luck is nauseating. The man eviscerated FEMA, and hundreds of thousands of people suffered. He started an illegal war, and people are getting maimed and killed. He okayed the illegal wiretapping of Americans. This is not simply a string of bad luck. This is called GETTING CAUGHT.

1. Bush is the cause of most people having a
bad year. Him, he probably does that evil yet stupid laugh of his as he looks back.

6. Agreed - you wanna talk "bad year"
Edited on Mon Dec-26-05 11:25 PM by tularetom
The hundreds of GI's killed in Iraq - they had a bad year. The thousands wounded and thousands of Iraqis killed - bad year. Hundreds dead and thousands left homeless from Katrina - bad year. Hundreds of thousands killed in tsunamis and earthquakes - bad year. Older and poor Americans having to choose between food and heat - a bad year.

But * whose incompetence caused a lot of others to have an extremely bad year and probably hasn't lost a minutes sleep over any of it - just a normal year for him.

7. Dis he get a prolapsed colon this year?
If he didn't, he needs to stop whining.

It would have been a great year for me if he got a prolapsed colon, however. Something in the neighborhood of 12 feet of prolapsed pretzeldential colon would make a great start.

8. Bush has always been a pile of shit covered up by the American flag.
In 2005, hurricane Katrina blew the flag away.

9. I never thought about it like that before, but you make a valid point
Saying that Bush had a "bad year" makes him look pitiful, as if those damn God-hating, abortion-on-demand, terrorist loving liberal obstructionists stood in the way of George Bush's agenda.

When I think about 2005, I think about the fact that George W. Bush started off this year giving an interview to the WaPo, saying that he had already had his "accountability moment." He started off this year saying that he had earned political capital on the campaign trail last year, and he intended to use it.

The great news is that there was a sort of awakening in our country (though not on the scale I would have liked to seen).

Some of the media FINALLY began to ask the tough questions of this administration, and much of Bush's agenda went down the toilet where it belongs.

I only hope we can build on this in 2006.

I was just thinking about all of this a few minutes ago, and how I wanted to talk about it on my blog tonight.

10. He's had a bad presidency, because he's a bad president...
and, for that matter, a bad man.

11. I thought he recently said he had a 'good' year.
It reminded me of what he said at the end of '01, about his stepford wife and he having a good year.
